Colonna Palace Hotel

Great location including the ability to be dropped off and picked up by taxis and limos very close to the front. Beautiful building adjacent to the hotel with Rome police in presence. Outstanding breakfast in such a wonderful rooftop setting. Unfortunately, the seagulls were very annoying in the middle of the night.

My room was pretty beat-up, i.e., deep nicks in some walls and frayed, stained carpet.

There needs to be grab bars installed in the tub/shower for safety reasons. Shower head needs to be replaced as it does not stay in place. And it's very inconvenient.

It is renovated and very clean and staff is friendly and perfect location. I didn’t like that there was no toast for breakfast!

The windows need to be upgraded, the outside noise gets loud at night

No air conditioning

.It is very noisy outside. You can hear everything. You can hear the crow voice most of the time . Not clean, I found dirty spots on the carpet of the room . The bath ropes were so old and dilapidated. . No coffee machine nor irons . No water, you have to buy water from the bar in the lobby or somewhere else .the room was very cool even after the turn on the heater (my visit was in winter)

Since I was there last year, when we all arrived felt like home! Breakfast was yummy and this time we arrived twice and they let me use the same room on my return back to Rome before my 2nd cruise.

Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great. Room was large. Tub/shower combination entry/exit was extremely dangerous with no grab bars. Seniors and physically challenged people would be endangered Rooms are far overheated. If you open the windows to cool the room down you can be greeted, as we were, by some protest speaker with a power equipped microphone/amplifier/speaker system screaming for 5 hours late in the afternoon. Complaints to the desk resulted in us being told that there was nothing they could do about it, which was true, and here is a package of foam earplugs. Didn’t seem very concerned because this is a regular occurrence

No Iron in the room. It should be said before booking, that iron wasn't part of it and you needed to pay to iron.

We loved the location and the staff were super friendly. They provided recommendations and volunteered to help with our luggage when we were going to do it ourselves. The rooftop breakfast and lobby bar was super nice too. The AC could have been stronger and there was a door between the hall and the bedroom that was in the way.

Room was great, very clean, nice size. Breakfast offered a good variety. Staff was very helpful. Loved the view from the rooftop. Nice place to relax in the evening. Could have had some snacks available in minibar or vending machine. Had some problems with shower, bathtub. Had to have staff show us how to work. Valve to switch from shower to tub hard to operate. Hard to avoid getting floor wet with only half wall in shower.

Nice, clean, friendly & helpful staff. Walking distance to many attractions.
