The location was incredible and great value for being right in the centre of the city. Room was a good size and good facilities. The staff were LOVELY, couldn’t do enough for us! Nothing!

It was really nice and comfortable, very nice location

The hotel is in an excellent location—right across the street from the Colosseum—and appears to be a historic establishment. The staff’s service was top-notch! I arrived early, but the front desk still checked me in as soon as my room was ready and even offered luggage storage. The entire front desk team was incredibly friendly and helpful; it’s entirely thanks to them that I didn’t leave a negative review. When booking, pay special attention to the room size. I didn’t notice it at the time, and as a result, the room was extremely small and had no proper window (there was a small window at the very top of the wall that seemed to be covered by a curtain). In the middle of the night, the air conditioner or fan stopped running for a while, wake me up from the heat. The sheets were clean, but the filling in the pillows had clumped together and should have been replaced long ago.

Excellent hotel in a perfect location! This was the first time during a stay in Rome that I didn’t need to use the metro at all, because everything was within walking distance. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. The room was small, but very clean, well air-conditioned, and even had a lovely view of several Roman landmarks. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for its fantastic location, cleanliness, and welcoming staff. The only thing that bothered me was the behavior of some other guests. They were constantly slamming doors — and I mean really slamming them — shouting in the hallway at 2 a.m., and even loudly dropping the toilet seat. However, that is obviously a reflection on the guests, not the hotel itself.

The hotel is in a perfect location near the colosseum and easy to walk to all of the attractions including the Vatican. The staff were lovely and the cleaners went above and beyond.

The location was perfect. The hotel was everything I expected in Rome, from the quaint furnishings and the marble staircase, to the sidewalk cafe and coffee bar next door, and right around the corner? The Colosseum and the Roman Forum! I loved everything about it, especially the water pressure in the shower and the friendliness and hospitality of all the staff and housekeepers. I recommend Hotel Romano 100%. Not one thing.

The location was prime! The a/c was a window unit. It only cooled the bedroom, which was tiny. The bathroom was left feeling so hot. You have to send your luggage up by itself since you and your luggage won't fit together. Be ready for the surprise city tax fee in cash only.

Location was excellent near restaurants, old city ruins and Metro station. Rooms were superb and hosts were attentive to all your needs.

Great location and great staff. Good room

I loved the location in the midst of the ambiance of the Colosseum, the Forum, and the wedding cake. The room was a nice size, and the floral/bow touches throughout the hotel were delightful. We ate breakfast three times across from the hotel. and the avocado toast was the BEST with delightful servers. We ate in the vicinity of the hotel for all but one meal when we went to Nonna Betta on our last night in Rome. Everything was perfect until our last morning when we asked the man at the desk to call a taxi; instead of calling an it. taxi, he called an "independent" driver who drove horribly. The man who called the taxi was on duty the morning of July 20; I have his name but I decided against using it.
