Hotel San Giusto

Hotel is well located, close to supermarket, restaurants, pubs, metro and bus stops. Hotel is clean and staff are friendly. The single room, the bath and the single bed were a bit small. You get the same breakfast every day!

AVOID. Unsafe room, dishonest staff, sewer smell, zero accountability. GH Hotel San Giusto, Rome — 3 nights booked, €429.93 prepaid. We left after one. The room smelled badly (Booking.com later confirmed the bathroom pipes were releasing sewer smell into the room), the wardrobe listed in the facilities was simply not there, and the wooden door frame around the lock was so splintered the room could not be securely locked from the inside. We reported everything in writing through the Booking.com app 48 minutes after check-in. The hotel ignored the message for almost a full day. By the time they answered, we had already checked out and paid for a different hotel out of pocket. Then they ACCUSED US OF CAUSING THE DOOR DAMAGE. UNBELIEVABLE. We had been in the room for a few minutes. Reception refused any refund and sent us to Booking.com, who could not get the property to reply either — and offered only €25 in wallet credit against a €429.93 booking. Do not book this property, there are plenty of much better alternatives around.

The location is conveniently located near the Bologna metro station, a supermarket and some nice restaurants and shops. The staff were super helpful. The facilities are clean. There is a decent breakfast spread. The single bed was small and a bit uncomfortable. Maybe just needs thicker pillows and a nice thick blanket.

Only the check-in process was fine There is no soundproofing at all. Huge gaps between the door and the floor. You will hear all your neighbors, and at 4 AM, the staff will be running and slamming the doors without any respect for their guests.

Sadly there was music playing in the halls during the days of my stay up until around 10pm. It was quite loud without my noise cancelling headphones.

Place of the hotel is perfect on the metro station Breakfast is good but coffee may be better. There is no elevator up to first floor and you must carry your luggage for the high stars by yourself. The room is looking inside. There’s no swatter on the windows and can’t open the window for fresh air because of the mosquitos. Our room is the no 1 and near the breakfast room and so much noisy at 7:00 oclock.breakfast time.

Close to the subway, services all around, ac in the room and ok breakfast. Could use some deeper cleanings, sheets were stained, floor was dusty, string smell in the bathroom.

They upgraded my room by giving me a double room. Breakfast was very tasty with many choices. Decoration very nice, I like it !! Very close to metro station. The stairs to reach the lift. When I told the 2 ladies at the reception that I have a backache and I can not carry the suitcase they did not propose any solution. They told me we do not provide such services and I found this rude. At the end I thought of carrying my stuff in many bags for 3 times. Even the luggage storage room is not in the ground floor.

Hotel is centrally located with bus and supermarket nearby. There was no lift from the ground floor to the first floor so in case you have a big suitcase, it was such a challenge bringing your stuffs to your room. The aircon was not working properly but was actioned immediately by the hotel.

The hotel is very clean, staff is friendly and eager to help, the rooms are barebones but you have everything you need. Great location, great value for money. The one thing I did not like was the music played in the corridors. I do not really get why they would play music early-ish in the morning, but you can really hear it in the rooms, especially because otherwise the rooms are so silent. It's an easy fix but I found it a bit bizarre.

Location was good , near metro station and next to a grocery store. The breakfast selection was not very diverse, but it was sufficient for us. The staff was ok , we especially want to highlight the lady at breakfast—she is a very hard worker. The hotel is very old, and the rooms are poorly maintained. There is a musty smell, the skirting boards are detached from the walls, and the furniture is placed awkwardly. For example, there was about half a meter of empty space behind the wardrobe. While the mattress seemed to have been replaced recently, the bed linen was inadequate for a hotel. The bathroom was also very old, with a musty smell, rust stains, and limescale buildup. Additionally, the toilet seat was not properly fixed. Overall, the hotel's maintenance is poor, but this is not the staff's fault, as they are not responsible for allocating funds for upkeep.

Perfect location, right next to the metro station. Clean rooms. Rich buffet breakfast. Kindly staff. Very good value for money in Rome. In the bathroom, the cleaners only changed the towel that was left on the floor. (It wasn't written down.) Soft drinks at breakfast.

Great location, close to public transport. Room was not that impressive. They didn’t even had complementary water bottle in the room.
