Mascherino Suites

I traveled with my 80 year old mother and it is an ideal location closer to everything. Few minutes walk to the Vatican and St. Peters Basilica. Taxi stand is right across the street. That was extremely convenient. Quick walk to Borgo Pio for breakfast or dinner. The staff member that cleaned the rooms was extremely helpful and I nice. I wish I had written down her name to give credit here. Couple of times, I had to walk to 5th floor and bring the elevator down for my mother. She is 80 years old. Some people left the elevator doors open when they got off ( despite several large signs saying to close the elevators doors). It's one of those old style (cool) elevators. You have to close all four doors for it to work. Good thing I was there. If it was somebody who is disabled or elderly and absolutely needed the elevator, that would have been a problem. It is not the fault of the hotel. There are other people who live in the building.

Close to city Bed was hard

Very comfortable, clean and friendly staff The entryway was awkward. Dark and no signage to guide to check in.

Staff were brilliant, so very helpful. Ruth was amazing. Very close proximity to the Vatican. Five min walk. A bit confusing when you first arrive as there is no reception on the ground floor. The suites are actually on the third floor.

The staff and location

in my opinion it is located in one of the best location close to the Vatican. you can access to many iconic districts with walking and that is what you need in Rome. Room is specious and I had street view which made it more interesting. we stayed only one night coming from Spain, and it was the right choice for us.

I'm really pleased by Nathalie's quick responses and helpfulness on everything. The location, and the cleanliness of the room were excellent. We liked everything.

This is my favorite place to stay while in Rome. Great location, clean, quite and the owners are always quick to respond to any question or concern

Location was great, very clean and lovely A/C with scented room. The bed was rock hard. Staff spoke very poor English, i can speak Italian and English but I think they were Filipino and I could barely understand.

Someone at the property to answer the phone when we arrived and rang the bell at the closed door The lighting near the elevator was very dim. The heating in yhe room not working when thermostat showed 32 degrees centigrade.

The property was very clean and good size for two people with large luggage. The bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. Very hard and we did not get a good sleep our entire stay

Exceptional

Room only has a white thin curtain. Suggest to have a 2nd thicker curtain - for more privacy at night as building across can see the inside of the room.

Very comfortable suite not far from bus and taxi routes. Was a great experience. Only that the TV in the room never worked.. But hey we were there to tour.

Best location for someone who wants to stay close to St Peter’s Square. Room is decent sized for a family of 3 or best suited for couple. They had a mini fridge inside the room and wardrobe and kettle. 1 small water bottle and 1 small soda bottle was given everyday. Staff is friendly. We did not opt for breakfast but had a look at the breakfast being served. I think its best if you eat breakfast outside as their breakfast did not look appealing. There was no table in the room. There was a small table kinda thing attached to the wall but it had cracks and we could not keep anything on it as we were scared that it could break and fall. The tv did not work but it didnt bother us as we were too busy going out. Room is best for sleeping as aircon and beds were good. Bathroom has a bathtub too. And yes, the lifts are very old style and small. You have to open 2 doors manually for the lift and it cant take too much weight either. It’s a residential building and Mascherino Suites is on 3rd floor. But overall, we had a pleasant stay.
