The renovation of the abbey is awe-inspiring in its use of stone and water alone to create a calm and reflective mood. It is very much a quiet adult space to slow down and relax. The menu is carefully curated & the food and service workers are kind, quiet, well trained, formal and friendly and helpful. The menu has an option for the full/special breakfast for 60.00. On reflection we should have ordered it and split the offerings between the 2 of us. Basically the same price as the excellent omelette, and avocado toast with egg and the cappuccinos that we did have that were also delicious. The room was exceptionally clean and aromatic soap, shampoo, lotions, bathrobes, extra towels, slippers, bed, sheets, blankets, were especially nice. The air conditioning was welcome and quiet. The shutters also darkened the room for the mid-day rest and the location of the building makes it exceptionally immune to outside noise. I had to think hard…I loved the simplicity, symmetry and use of stone and water elements. The following are points to consider not really something I didn’t “like.” A few more hooks to hang damp towels and hangers for clothes would be useful, although this is not a criticism we never asked for more. It is possible that a small stone step to navigate over the stone water barrier for the shower might be useful to less agile people.

An Unforgettable and Relaxing Stay in Rome! I recently had the most amazing and relaxing experience at the newly opened Nomos Hotel in Rome, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, the service was absolutely top-tier. I want to extend a huge thank you to the entire team who made my stay so special. A special shout-out goes to Dilshan for ensuring everything was pristine, and Israful and Sajib for their incredibly helpful assistance with my luggage. The front-of-house team—Eduardo, Daniele, Paul, and Ayoub—were all so welcoming, professional, and attentive, ensuring every need was met. Their dedication to service truly sets this hotel apart. Thank you all for such a wonderful and memorable stay. I will definitely be back! 10/10!

Everything is perfect. The service, amenities, the location. I am obsessed with the hotel design. The small gift of the rock is really an exciting surprise.

Amazing location and staff gave the best experience and service. Everything was great and I would recommend this as a stay It’s hard to say everything was good, maybe the shower head could be better and hot water takes some time to come through

Minimal interior design, very spacious rooms and spotless. Nice location. Previously the hotel was a monastery, and the concept here is to preserve this essence. Though I think they should have a proper toilet. The facilities are a little limited for a 5-star hotel. The room was quite noisy (probably due to the wooden ceiling, sound-proofing needs improvement)

The entire experience was unique and remarkable! The rooms are nothing like I have stayed in before. They are minimalistic and created a feeling of calmness, which was perfect whilst exploring the beautiful city of Rome. The staff are what take it to the next level, special shout out to Paul and Israful who went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The ONLY thing that could be improved is that the style of bed frames cut the view of the television making it difficult and hard to watch from the bed. We enjoy television before bed, so it is important for us. Other than that it was perfect!

I had a wonderful stay at the Nomis Hotel in Rome. The hotel itself is truly special—Henry Timi’s first venture into hotel design, transforming an 18th-century former Franciscan monastery into a beautiful minimalist sanctuary while preserving its history and character. The atmosphere is peaceful, stylish, and very different from a typical hotel. A special mention to Karima and Nour at the restaurant, who were exceptionally friendly and welcoming and really added to the experience. If I could make one small recommendation, it would be regarding the staff uniforms. I love that the outfits reflect the monastery-inspired design of the hotel, but the oversized sleeves don’t seem very practical when working with food. Keeping the same beautiful concept with a slightly more functional design would be perfect.
