Novotel Roma Est

Out of most 4 stars, by far this was the cheapest Novotel we've ever stayed. And that describes it all. Staff: excellent! Super nice folks, friendly, and helpful. Special thanks to Marco (and another amazing girl whose name we haven't noted but she suggested some fab places to visit in and around the Italian boot - and boy we will!). Also, F&B staff was super nice and respectful, catering all our needs, specially Giulio and Alfonso. Perhaps Michele who served our table at the b&q could smile a bit more often – we all have bad days sometimes but smiling is free and as much beneficial for you as for everyone else. :) Food: don't expect anything exceptional. Poor vegetable offerings for breakfast, carrots were still frozen on the first day, and the boiled egg wasn't freshly (eg. the same morning) cooked. Evening menu is simple but nice, and the pop-up b&q offering was definitely a good touch, we felt the food quality there was good! Despite the low price, I have honestly expected a bit better food quality on my first visit to Italy – particularly after experiencing an almost 5-star level breakfast in Novotel Barcelona a few years ago. Room and property: the best way to describe it is that it's pretty old and the overall design is worn-out. The property is quite far from the centre, and it's pretty ready for a decent refurbishment. Even the access road/hotel driveway is full of potholes, crumbling and completely neglected. Our room wasn't super clean upon checking in, and wasn't thoroughly cleared during our stay either (eg. floor wasn't hovered). To sum it up, the staff is 5-star, food is barely hitting 4-star, and property is 3-star at its best.

Very Nice. We enjoyed our stay. Liked · Perfect for family with 2 children. Nice, quiet, clean, free parking, and very helpful service desk members. We staid 2 days and we enjoyed. We drove to Rome and it was a great experience. Ask front desk for Rome brochure. It was extremely helpful. At first, the street that takes you there looks very scary with old asphalt and nothing around it but once you go inside.....everything changes for good. breakfast not worth paying as part of stay, bland and limited. location is secluded so 15 minutes for any outside restaurant or store.

The hotel was close to the my destination and close to the train station. The room was comfortable with open view through the window.The breakfast was of standard level. The price of the room was quite expensive considering the location of the hotel. The room was old-fashioned and the breakfast didn't provide many options.

A good breakfast buffet every morning even when the hotel had only 6 guests alltogether. Room size is decent, bed has a better-than-average mattress. The area the hotel is in is quiet but with no walking-distance shops or restaurants (true, the hotel has a "restaurant" where you have a few choices). They have a free parking garage under the hotel, high enough to accomodate mini-vans. If you drive a car (we did) people are complaining about the last 100 yards/meters of road: I presume that's government's place to fix and it's not the most annoying. For years they've had an open Wi-Fi with issues, problematic, slow, and with issues: that would be a very simple issue to fix. Some (I repeat, some) of their personel are very cold and un-interested when/if you a problems: not a good combination for a hotel.

Since we were with a car we were close to all the main attractions. And 10 min from a major shopping center and also a indoor parking at hotel That it was in a shady area

Clean Terrible location

Overall, the hotel was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and well. Breakfast was good. Quite and beautiful place in the nature. Only three things I can criticize which were very small shower and the second bed (for my daughter) was uncomfortable because it was a sofa bed. The location of the hotel was far from the city centre and the access of the train station was not good. For this reason, I rented a car for easy transportation after the first train trip.

We liked everything.

Everything was excellent! The beds were comfortable and super clean room and bathroom. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of food fit for everyone. Wi-fi was also very good.

Good value for money. We got complementary use of garage which was very nice. The staff was polite and efficient. The location a bit remote from the city center, but convenient if you come with your car. The room itself could use a bit love and maintenance, plastic shower curtains are not a hotel standard for a long time.
