ROMA ROOM HOTEL

Nothing I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel and with the way both the hotel management and Booking.com handled the problems I experienced. I booked this hotel specifically because it advertised air conditioning, which was particularly important given the weather conditions in Rome at the time. Unfortunately, air conditioning was not provided for the entire five-night stay. What is particularly frustrating is that the hotel owner did not inform us about this before or at the time of booking. I only found out about the issue after we had already paid the additional city tax. The city tax was another unexpected charge that I was not made aware of in advance and was not expecting when making the booking. I believe guests should be clearly informed about any additional mandatory charges and, most importantly, about significant differences between the facilities advertised and what is actually available. When I raised the issue of the air conditioning with the owner, he said that he would provide us with a fan. However, there was no offer of a refund or even a partial refund despite the fact that one of the main facilities we had booked the hotel for was unavailable. The fan provided was extremely small and completely inadequate. It did not provide sufficient cooling and the air did not even reach our bed, making it practically useless. I politely approached the owner again to explain the situation and ask for a reasonable solution. Instead of trying to resolve the problem professionally, he became aggressive, started shouting at me and walked towards me in an intimidating and aggressive manner. This made an already uncomfortable situation even more upsetting and unacceptable. There were also serious cleanliness and maintenance issues throughout the room. There was visible mould in multiple areas, including around the lamp, sink, shower tray and ceiling. This was not an isolated issue but something that was clearly noticeable in different parts of the room.

AC wasnt working. On the booking it says with AC, therefore I paid for it. We weren't informed it wasn't working until the day we got there. Also, elevator was rusty and would shake a lot

Много чисто, на комуникативна в близост до метро, трамвай и автобусни спирки. На близко разстояние от магазини и закусвални. В стая за трима има трето легло ( не разтегателен диван). Спокоен район и лесен достъп до забележителностите на Рим. С директен транспорт до Ватикана. Стаята беше малка и нямаше ютия, няма и ресторант в хотела.

Location vicinissima alla mia università per la discussione di laurea. A 4 minuti a piedi dalla fermata metro policlinico che è a 4 minuti dalla fermata Termini per la stazione e a 8 minuti dalla fermata Colosseo per andare a visitare il centro. Hotel pulito, non sfarzoso ma essenziale. Staff davvero di aiuto in ogni modo (prenotazione taxi, consigli per cena, deposito bagagli etc) e simpaticissimo Franco! Absolutely recommended!

Despite the negative reviews here and on Google Maps, I decided to give this hotel a chance, and I'm glad I did. I had a great experience. Yes, the building is old, but the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was air conditioning, which was essential given the 38-degree heat we experienced. The towels and bed linens were fresh and in excellent condition. The bathroom was large, and the shower worked very well. One of the advantages of older hotels is that the rooms tend to be much more spacious than those in newer properties. The hotel seems to be family-run, and the owner was welcoming and communicative throughout my stay. I can see why some reviewers thought the owner was a bit rude, but I had a different impression. He has a very direct manner, which might come across as abrupt at first. In my experience, though, he was genuinely friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. I hope the business continues to grow so they can eventually bring back breakfast service.

Mattresses were comfy and the hotel is in a great location Mould on the bathroom wall, it looks outdated there was also 2 single beds pushed together to make a double bed which then they separated during the night

The location was good, we were able to use the Metro and Buses. We felt that the pricing did not align with the standard of experience we were offered.
