Unbelievable location so close to Trajan's Column, the Forum and Colosseum.

Hotel is tired, needs updating

The experience at this hotel was amazing. They went above and beyond for us and even decorated our room for our honeymoon. To also include a breakfast with a strong selection of food and beverage was just an even bigger bonus. You will not find a hotel with better value or location. My wife and I LOVED our stay. If I had to find something to pick, I guess the very small, very slow elevator could be a bit difficult for moving bags. With that said, we checked in early and dropped our bags off. We returned to find they had already been moved to our room. The place was truly outstanding.

Location was excellent to attractions and restaurants! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Outdoor scaffolding…but overall the location made up for that

Nothing it was perfect

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Traiano during our honeymoon in Rome. The location was absolutely perfect — right in the center of many tourist attractions, with most sites within walking distance, including the train station, which made exploring the city so convenient. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants and gelato spots around the area. A special thank you to Katia, who was so sweet and attentive to every detail. She even gave my husband and me a small souvenir, which made our stay feel even more personal and memorable. Since we were celebrating our honeymoon, they surprised us by decorating our room with balloons and rose petals. It was such a thoughtful and romantic gesture that made us feel truly welcomed and celebrated. We also really appreciated how well the air conditioning worked — especially after spending time outside in the Rome heat. Coming back to a cool and comfortable room at the end of the day was perfect. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rome, especially couples celebrating a special occasion. While we truly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Traiano, there are a few areas where improvements could make the experience even better. The hotel has an older, classic style, so guests should not expect very modern rooms. While the charm fits the atmosphere of Rome, some parts of the room did feel outdated. Cleanliness was acceptable but could definitely be improved. Some of the washcloths appeared to have yellow stains, especially when wet, although we were unsure if it was simply discoloration from use. The carpets also seemed quite old, and when we requested cleaning, the staff vacuumed them, but deeper cleaning or replacement may help refresh the rooms overall. That said, the staff were very kind and accommodating throughout our stay. Katia mentioned that the hotel is planning to do some upgrades in the future, which is very promising and will likely improve the guest experience even more. We appreciate their hospitality and hope to see the updates on a future visit.

Nice facility with good diverse breakfast. Convenient to Colosseum, Forum, Emmanuelle Monument, Compodoglio. Also walked to Borghese Gallery, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Mouth of Truth.

European style breakfast was wonderful with may options. Staff was polite and friendly. Location was great. Bathroom was large and the room was a nice size, too. Adding a 2nd fan may have been helpful.

The bed was too soft and tagged in the middle. There was a strange odor in the bathroom

Location, breakfast, staff & decor Very loud! Traffic outside was busy all hours of the day. Our room was very hot! Maybe air conditioner was broken but it was very hot & open window traffic from outside was u bearable making it difficult to sleep.
