Scottish Inn Ronks

Location The room was dusty and the headboard of bed was dirty and I had to wipe it off before I could sleep in the bed. The windows were in need of a good cleaning and the stairwell was full of webs and could have been swept.

Location was good Bugs in our room.

Cheap Too much noise is next to the highway

Good location. Not far from the event we were attending. The owner made our beds and refreshed our room upon request. Pretty view of corn fields from our room. Cheapest room in the area. (Yes, I tend to cheap out on motel rooms.....so I do not expect it to be the Ritz-Carlton). The TV worked well! Cleanliness. Inside, there were spider webs all around the inside of the room. Too many bugs. (But we're on the backside of a farm field) Still, the spider webs should have been cleaned out daily. Went to Walmart and bought an extended Swiffer duster to clean them. My husband killed probably 15 spiders... EEEK...(I hate spiders) The little refrigerator needed cleaned out. Metal bedframe pieces were sticking out past the mattresses. I caught my ankle on it. OUCH!! If I were the owner, I would have those cut down so they are not sticking out. They did wrap them with some kind of yellow padding, but it still hurt pretty bad. Outside, there was a black garbage bag and various stuff lying around the building. It needed to be put away or cleaned up. The walkways should not have junk lying on them. Those things can be fixed. Other than that, the walls were paper thin and we could hear our "neighbors" extremely well. In order to cancel the noise, we all slept with our earbuds in our ears and music on our phones to drown them out. There was water damage above the tub that needed finished painting, but that didn't bother me too much. The shower curtain needed changed....It was gross along the bottom.....BUT....It was a cheap motel room!! You get what you pay for!!

A good value. They had construction upstairs going on til 9 PM. Door didn't properly seal from damage which let flies get into the room. Road noise was non stop all night. The few pillows were a 2 inch thick brick. If you stay there bring your own pillows. Plus the one USB port didn't work so bring your own chargers.

Location was good. Staff was very friendly kept providing email updates confirm confirming. The room was plenty of the wall above. The shower needs a little fixing foot was not an issue..

Near everything

The ceiling and wall in the bathroom had been spackled and not finished. The furniture set up was not conducive to more than one occupant. The toilet flushed fine and the air conditioning worked well. My husband and I checked out early and cancelled our additional night's stay due to the insects. I would not recommend the Scottish Inn Ronks, PA.
