Soudersburg Motel

Wonderful, quiet, relaxing place to stay. I would recommend anyone to stay there and would stay again.

This hotel is certainly showing its age but the room was clean and it had a wonderful shower. The pool was not open and the ice machine was in a weird area. The staff was welcoming and friendly. It was basically worth what we paid.

Room was clean, just hard to get into parking lot from RT 30 West. Easier to go past turn right on Ronks road turn around the head back East on RT 30.

So imagine my huge disappointment when I pulled in and the first think I thought was God does Norman Bates work here. The pool was inoperable, dirty, disgusting and the exterior of the building and parking lot gave very uncomfortable and unwelcoming feeling. I chose not to stay. I'm sorry but this hotel needs massive renovations. From the outside it looks more like a homeless hotel. I'm sorry but I'm just being honest.

my breakfast at diner was good. No breakfast served at motel. As far as the rooms they should be updated they smell very damp and musty. Air conditioner sucked hardly any air flow. It was hot and there was no pool.

The shower part of the tub faucet did not work properly, but we made do without it. The room was nice and the cleaning staff were friendly.

Ac worked well. Room was nice and clean. Pool was closed. Bed was fine just kinda firm.

The toilet handle was broken. Had to be jiggled to make the water fill the tank and stop running and eventually fell off. When I told staff, nothing was done even tho the woman said she would alert them. Waited an entire day - told them when we were leaving for breakfast and wasn’t fixed when we came back for bed at 930pm. I had to fix it myself by sticking my hand in the tank and reconnecting it. The beds were very comfy. The sheets and pillow cases had stains on them but looked clean otherwise. Not a single bug or remnant of a bug anywhere in the room. They advertise a pool. It was covered and obviously hasn’t been open all summer. We wouldn’t have booked at all if we had known this.

The room were very clean. The only problem was there was a very strong smell of cleaning solution in the room that caused head congestion. The refrigerator did not seem to be working well and the catch pan under freezer section was completely filled with water. Asked for assistance at front desk. Said that they would get someone to check it out but no one ever came. Staff was cordial and polite. Parking readily available right outside of room, made for easy unloading and loading of the car.

Other than that, everything was fine. I’ll definitely be back to this motel next time.

Exceptional

The room was not very clean and the pot smell was bad

The motel meet what we needed for a one night stay.

The location is great especially when going back in forth into Lancaster. Only 8 minutes driving and very quiet. You can see the cows directly in the back of the hotel which is very nice. The shower curtain was extremely old and stained. The shower water pressure was extremely low so you will have to be in it for a long time to wash, almost like someone trying to reserve water. The room wasn’t the cleanliness so bring some cleaning supplies for this place before using anything. The carpet wasn’t all the way down and there was a hole in the wall and weed coming through from the other room. It’s supposed to be non-smoking and I had little children. The guest coming in had kids that were banging on the staircase which can happen late at night checking in. But someone reported my family and the sheriff came banging on my door which frightened my older children and thank God my younger one was asleep and not frightened. I reported this to the manager and he gave me the run around about a manager and said he never saw anyone check in with kids which was a lie and the cameras only showed the sheriffs. I tried to go around to the office to see for myself and he closed up and purposely waited for me to leave to avoid the situation. The phone in the room does not work at all it’s just there for decoration I guess. Check out was at 11am and I called multiple times and I think they blocked me to discuss the fear and trauma their facility left on me and my family. The manager saw me pull up and had his head down because I saw him and did not want to deal with it. We woke up to some lady living there cursing out some people for over an hour. I think the issue is there are more people who physically live there no judgment at all some hotels feel like home and is better with less responsibility. But I don’t think the ones who live there want others visiting. You get what you pay for but may wand up in jail or possibly something worse. The housekeeper never cleaned out room and directly ask me to my face knowing my son had an accident, so the room when I came back smelled like urine because he is a potty training toddler. I had to get sheets and make the beds myself.
