Location and breakfast were great Room was a little small

Great location, amazing breakfast, and comfortable rooms. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend staying here!

They had a decent sauna. A nice pub in the basement. The room was too small. There were no night stands so I had to put all my things on the floor next to the bed. No chairs. No real room to move. No heat, just air conditioning, which we didn't need. It would ave been nice to be a little warmer.

Truly the best breakfast I have ever had at any hotel in my life. Absolutely incredible and the whole stay was worth it just for that breakfast. I LOVED having the tub and the bubble bath. Although the tub was a MAJOR plus, some redesigns need to be made... what is mentioned in the other reviews is true, that the tub leaks. If you don't drain it slowly over time and keep plugging it up, it will leak all over the bathroom floor and even into the hotel room itself! For me it was still worth it to take a nice bubble bath so I drained it and replugged it slowly.

the breakfast is above my expectation and the staff is friendly. I have early flight and need to have early breakfast (around 6am). They offer me take away breakfast or can have cold breakfast. the ambient light is nice but i prefer more brightness.

The breakfast was also a highlight of my stay. There was a great variety of options, everything was fresh, and the quality exceeded my expectations. It definitely set a positive tone for the rest of the day. Overall, a fantastic experience with excellent service, thoughtful amenities, and a very comfortable atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

The location of Arctic City Hotel is honestly unbeatable. Every tour pick-up point is either right outside or within a very short walk, and I never once needed to call an Uber during my 5-night stay. You step outside and you’re immediately surrounded by great restaurants and bars, which made exploring Rovaniemi incredibly easy. That was by far the highlight. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience did not match the expectations I had based on reviews praising the staff’s warmth and kindness. I arrived after a very long and difficult journey — two flights, lost luggage, and a 12-hour train ride — and had informed the hotel in advance that my suitcase might arrive before me. When I reached the hotel at 8 AM on check-in day, I was visibly exhausted and asked if early check-in might be possible. By 9:30 AM, completely drained, I gave in and went for their breakfast buffet. While I understand policies, being charged €20+ in that moment, without even a small gesture of empathy, left a poor first impression — especially for a hotel that markets itself on hospitality. To their credit, I was checked in around 11:30 AM, which I appreciated. However, throughout the rest of my stay, the reception staff consistently felt cold and unwelcoming. It genuinely felt like I was inconveniencing them any time I asked a question. I’ve stayed in many places (including famously “direct” destinations like France), and this was easily one of the least friendly front desk experiences I’ve had. As a solo female traveler, that lack of warmth was particularly noticeable and disappointing. The biggest issue, however, was the room comfort. The hotel turns off the air conditioning for the entire building, meaning you cannot use the AC in your room even if needed. The only option is to turn off the radiator and open a very insulated window that barely lets in fresh air. This made the room uncomfortably warm at times. Additionally, charging extra for basic amenities like bathrobes and slippers felt unnecessarily petty for a hotel at this level.

The location was amazing! Right near good restaurants, close to the airport, close to attractions, especially, Lordi's square. It had yummy restaurants. The breakfast was super clean/tasty as well. Rooms were clean. The showers were okay, but I think that might be a Europe thing. The bed was odd because it was like not staying together

Great location, good breakfast. The staff was really helpful!
-
Great location Cute sauna in our room. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast buffet. Quirky shower that had to have water squeegeed off the floor after use. Outlets all located at floor level requiring crawling under desk to access to plug in kettle.
-
Good location, really nice staff, clean, and the breakfast was very good!! And the restaurant for dinner was also great! The room was a bit dated for the cost of the room.
-
Perfect location. It was very close to the pick up for many activities. The heated floors were a luxury I didn't know I needed. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I felt very comfortable there. nothing

Everything about this place. From checking in, with a friendly attendant, doing everything they can to make us feel comfortable and welcome to the breakfast every day. Having the bar below the hotel was fantastic. Easy walking distance to everything you need nearby. Definitely recommend staying here when in town. Nothing

The staff is very helpful. They will store your baggages there before and after checkout so you can enjoy the area before departure.

Last day we checked out at 5.30 am. There is always somebody at the desk and they gave us sandwiches for the breakfast which saved our day. The people work here are so kind. Thanks for everything!!

Everything and everyone! I arrived with migraine around 11 and asked if possible to get access to our room. I received a message in less than hour that our room was ready! Perfect location, close to everything, breakfast was one of the best I’ve had, staff was SUPER friendly and helpful May be the price- a bit pricey compared to other similar hotels

The stay was good overall. The hotel was well located and comfortable, and the service met expectations. However, the room and the bathroom were quite small, which made the space feel a bit limited. Despite this, it was a pleasant stay.
