Architecture and design was stunning. Loved the view from the restaurant and from our 2 room suite 920 which had 2 bathrooms and great decor. Room service was good even drinks to the stunning pool. Location was exceptional so we walked everywhere. Hotel organised vip passes for Fanispan worth every Dong. Hotel arranged driver to Hanoi airport so good service all around. Had massages which were good too Spa. The layout or process for organizing our massages in the spa was not to our liking. Only one person at reception selling and receiving so tiny space with people in spa robes sitting around waiting. Steam room on right in place on right not working properly. So a calm quiet 90 minute experience was prefaced with kids, noise and few places to sit half dressed with no privacy. Spa massage rooms were great As to the restaurant food. Not too good . No quality control at cooking level. we ate 3 meals there over 5 days but our experience was it was trying too hard and food was un cooked or undercooked and no one noticed in the kitchen. And not at the level I have come to expect at this level of hotel.

This is an incredible building which feels grand from the moment you walk in, it’s opulent with a range of eating and drinking values, including a fantastic breakfast buffet which caters to all tastes. We went to the absinthe bar on more than one occasion, not cheap but an amazing setting and fantastic service which felt special. If you are looking for an outdoor pool, note this hotel provides an amazing indoor pool.

Gorgeous hotel. Wonderful staff super accommodating and consistently helping you with anything you need. I love the pool area. They have the best hot cocoa on earth. There was nothing Not to love I could live here forever

Everything Nothing

The property was beautiful and close to everything. It was a nice place to spend time. The staff was very helpful. Highly recommend. The only thing I didn’t like about the property was the cost of food and drinks. It was much more expensive to eat here than other places in the area which was disappointing as it was a beautiful setting.

Its pricey for Vietnam, but this is a world-class property. Probably the most beautiful hotel I've ever been to. The pool is incredible. Service could have been a bit more attentive for the catagory of hotel. I asked for more towels in my room and they never came.

Amazing hotel that I definitely recommend!

The hotel is most outstanding in terms of architectural finesse and attention to interior design. Bill Bensley created a fantastic "world" that imparts owe on the observer. In some instances -- the sublime. For example, the female swimmers painted on the ceiling of the swimming pool a emerge from the sky in the form of a diver statue at the end of the pool. Specifically, try swimming the backstroke from the beginning of the poll to the end and look at the painting on the ceiling combine with the female statue at the end. We spent two days exploring and then "devouring" every architectural detail and interconnections in his unique hotel. The staff was polite but not very helpful. Many of the clerks in the front desk did not speak good English and it was hard to communicate. The travel desk was not helpful in arranging trips ("look at the internet") and at times referred us to other hotels for scheduling hikes down to the valley. There is no business center and the only computer that was available to the guests did not work.

The A/C is so warm despite the fact i lowered it to 16degC.

The hotel facilities were exceptional, everything was crafted with care to be unique. The customer experience was excellent in spite of being very busy. we booked the fanispan trip with the hotel as VIP and it was very good. Some of the dishes we ordered at room service were average in taste (e.g. beef prawn red curry), my friend tried hair spa which ended being a disaster as they didn't know how to handle really curly hair. Other spa services were great.
