there is really nothing the host can do about, and even offering me the topmost room which was so nice, there is frequent noise from the street.

The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful! We got to the accomodation early in the morning after a night bus and they opened the door fast so we wouldn't wait out in the cold. They let us rest in the lobby until our room was ready and we had the possibility for an early check-in. Food and coffee was nice and laundry service fast. Our room was cozy and had everything we needed, we especially liked the warm bed.

Host was kind, energetic and helpful. Loved view of Fansipan from window. Strong wifi. Cozy electric blanket! Very clean, relaxing and comfortable. Nothing.

Big room and good hot water

The shining star of our stay was the amazing host, she not only checked in with us to make sure everything was okay every day but offered clean bedding and towels, breakfast and dinner and always helped us when we had any questions. The rooms was very spacious and included a private bathroom and kettle with an extra double bed and a balcony area. We loved our stay here, and it was a 10 minute walk into town

Delightful family, comfortable and clean rooms, heated blankets!! Excellent value, and even better with the price. Shower and hot water worked, you just need to preheat

The location was very central, the room clean and big enough. The highlight is definitely the host, who did everything she could to make my stay as nice and comfy as possible!! I also appreciated the heated blanket, as it was very cold during my stay, and the options to order food and do laundry at the place. Only thing is the shower, which takes time to heat up and becomes cold very quickly. It's a basic accommodation, so don't expect anything too fancy (except for the heated blanket, that was very cool!!)

My second time staying here says it all , Location , and WiFi were both excellent , room was clean and good , the owner is a very nice person , everything was perfect . Everything was wonderful .

First, the owner is quite friendly, good english speaking and also negotiable. Second thing, the facility is good, you have the hair dryer, the warmer and also the wadrobe. The location is strategic for muslim as it is near to Halal restaurant.Walking distance to Sapa Sunplaza.

+ This was definitely one of the nicer options we saw in Sa Pa for such a low price + The location is quite good, as it's not right in the middle of town centre (thus a little quieter), but still close to things and there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance + The host is keen to help you with any questions and she can book various extra services (tours etc.) for you; we didn't make use of that as we like to save money and explore options ourselves, but I'm sure other travellers will be very happy to pay for the convenience and it's nice to see that it is being offered + In winter, the guesthouse is VERY cold, but the beds can be nice and warm if you sleep in your hoodie and warm them up before bedtime with the electric blankets provided + There is a homely look and atmosphere in and around the guesthouse that reminded me of nostalgic trips to the Tatra mountains +/- Most of the areas seemed quite clean, but the bathroom mirror and sink could have been cleaned much better +/- The location and how it's incorrectly displayed on Google Maps makes it a little difficult to find the guesthouse, but fortunately the host sends you the exact coordinates when you book your stay - Our room (located on the first floor just above reception) had a leaky sink, which had flooded half of the bathroom floor by the time we got back to the guesthouse for the night - The water pressure on the bidet gun was violently strong, making it almost unusable - Outside of the heated bed, the rooms are totally freezing if you go in the winter - The host, though at first seemingly cordial and polite, pressures guests a bit too much in order to receive a perfect rating and thus skews the reviews on here somewhat. Not long after we left, I received the following message from the host: "Thank you once again for choosing Viet Duc motel, are you satisfied with your stay at my house, if you are satisfied, please encourage me to rate 10 points on your booking, is there anything that doesn't make you happy? Please give me feedback directly, I will fix it, but don't rate it on your booking. Wishing you both a safe and happy trip. look forward to serving you again." You be the judge and choose if you think this is OK, but I found this a little too much and a bit dishonest. In writing reviews, guests shouldn't be told to not leave negative comments about things they didn't like nor should they ever be pressured to give perfect ratings. We saw that the host tends to respond to guest reviews, so we would also like to leave a message here for her: Thank you for having us, overall we're fairly satisfied with the guesthouse and think a good 7/10 rating is appropriate. We informed you of what we could remember needed improvement when leaving just like you asked. The leaky sink didn't bother us that much since we stayed such a short time and we trust it will be fixed for future guests. But we're very disappointed with that message and how much you push for perfect ratings by also telling your guests to leave out any negative opinions in their reviews.
