Located on a quiet site in Saas-Fee, near the station of the Alpin Express the Hotel Alpin offers you great wellness facilities (closed till December 5th) and fine cuisine. You can ski right down to the hotel's door. Choose from spacious double rooms, that are at least 82 ft² in size. Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel free of charge. There is also a sauna, a steam bath, a solarium and whirlpool (closed in summer). Fitness facilities are at your disposal as well in the Hotel Alpin. A buffet breakfast is offered every morning. Enjoy fresh salads from the buffet and treat yourself to a delicious 4-course dinner. The hotel bar is an inviting place for having a fruity cocktail or a nightcap. Play billiards, table tennis, table soccer and darts with family and friends and on the sunny terrace even chess and Merels can be played on giant fields. There is a ski storage room with lockers and boot dryers and a room for ski tuning. From June to October, guests enjoy free use of all cable cars and public busses in the Saas Valley. If you like skiing, the location is perfect: opposite the main gondola (Alpin Express; oddly not one of booking.com's options in the "Which ski lift did you use the most?" question) and you can ski right down to the other side of the road. Good-sized bedroom (mine had a terrace overlooking the village and it was an 'ordinary' double bedroom), friendly helpful staff, very good buffet breakfast and - extremely useful - every room had a dedicated locker in the dry room in the basement for storing ski gear, with heated bars you hung your ski boots on). I didn't use the sauna or hot tub, but those facilities are there from 3pm. I'd certainly stay here again and Saas-Fee itself is an attractive car-free village, with great late-season skiing ideal for intermediates (lots of wide reds and 2000m drop as a continuous run from the glacier to the village). Nothing could have been better. Great hotel in a traditional but car-free village, perfect for late season skiing.

Superb location next to main cable car. Clean, spacious room with balcony facing the mountain. Efficient room cleaning daily. Nice sauna/jacuzzi/steam room area. Good ski locker area No restaurant except for buffet breakfast.

Great room, great location. Nice that the staff picks you up from the station. The restaurant daily menu was very good value for money.

We really liked the sauna facilities, the hotel's location, the breakfast, the room amenities. The staff was also friendly. It was EXTREMELY COLD in the rooms (5th floor). The first night there were 16 degrees in the room and 15 degrees in the bathroom. The heaters were not working properly. We asked for staff to come into the room and try to repair it, but they could not. We asked for an electric heater, but they did not have one. The next morning we asked to switch rooms, which they agreed to, but in the new room (on the 4th floor) there were only 18 degrees. The heaters were working in the morning, but not during the afternoon and night. We had to sleep with warm winter clothes, because even under the cover it was way too cold due to the heaters not working during the night. Not a nice experience. We complained twice about these issues (once when staff came to the old room to check it out, once when we switched to the new room), but after that I did not want to fight with them. It was a very unpleasant experience to stay 2 nights there, and sleep in 16 degrees the first night and 18 degree room the second night. I could not wait to leave the hotel. The staff were friendly, but they could not fix the heating issues. The hotel management has to do better to ensure better conditions in the room. No one should be required to sleep in 16 degrees just because you have no other choice (you are in the middle of no where in the mountains).

It was all really great! The room was spacious and had all that we needed. The wellness spa was an added bonus and more than we expected. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. And the location was super - Right across the road from Alpin Express!
