Old Powder House Inn

Check in was very easy, our room was very clean. We were given the “honeymoon” suite which was nice. The bed was large and comfortable. However, the room was hot. There was a problem with the A/C, which was not fully resolved. It was producing coolish air, but the hall outside the room was way cooler than the room itself. It ment that it was tough to sleep. The hotel was well situated for our needs. We were there for a concert. It’s within walking distance to the main tourist area. Breakfast was pleasant. Off street parking was nice. This is a very good bed and breakfast option. Hopefully, they resolve the A/C issue.

This was our first time staying at the Inn. It was wonderful. Clean, beautiful property, comfortable bed and room, lovely breakfast and snacks/beverages all day. We enjoyed sitting on the upstairs porch in the evening. Lovely stay, and we highly recommend.

Our stay was lovely! We enjoy older historic homes that are now Bed and Breakfasts so we were delighted to stay here. This one was welcoming and very comfortable. The breakfast was so delicious and the presentation was perfect! We loved chatting with the staff learning about the owners and some history of the property. We will be back for sure!

Pro tip: enjoy their breakfast, and walk three doors down to The Modern Rose for an escape and wonderful experience, too!

I took a day trip to St. Augustine with my partner and we stayed at this inn. It’s in the heart of the historic center of St. Augustine so we did not have to drive once since we got there. The room was very clean and well decorated. The amenities were great, and the breakfast was amazing. The staff were super kind as well. I would return to this inn should my travels lead to st. Augustine again.

The location is amazing, and the hospitality truly couldn’t be beat. Every member of the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. The breakfast was to die for—so fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared! We loved every minute of our stay and would come back again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend this wonderful place!

Difficult to describe how terrific is this place. From the entrance, to the main lobby. All the amenities. The staff. Bedroom and the breakfast. It’s a five stars. Amazing location. 5 minutes walking from all the main historic points. I would recommend this hotel for e everyone I know

Beautiful place to stay !

While they did not serve breakfast our first morning there, the staff made up for it by giving us a very generous gift card to a lovely breakfast cafe across the street. Then, the second morning, the breakfast they served was quite delicious. The bed was comfortable, and the TV enabled us to use our favorite streaming services. There was some dust under the bed. That's about it!

This was the most charming b&b. The location was great! Walking distance to most popular places. Staff and breakfast were excellent! Old, charming, and beautifully decorated house. We loved our weekend stay!

We were there this past week and everything was nice and clean. We were welcomed with a glass of vine to start our vacation. Breakfast was delicious! The property is very close to everything. Just park your car, and walk everywhere. We will definitely come back again!

The porches were the ideal place to relax and read.

My only observation which many people might find a problem was the size of the lavatory whish was rather small but had a charm of its' own (our Victorian shares those same qualities, it truly was like being home}. We'll stay there again assuming that readers of this review don't book them up solid until the Second Coming.

Location is key, this is centrally located yet very private and quiet. The staff was very attentive. Room was very clean . The property is well maintained. It is a great place to stay, I would recommend and definitely stay again.

Stay on the edge of Old Town St. Augustine....totally walkable to all the sites, shops and shoreline, including Lions Bridge and more. Yet be pampered in a well-cared-for inn by a staff who look out for all your comforts and enjoyment. Felt like a welcome step back in time in the best of ways!
