Room was basic but clean. Bathroom would benefit a tub. Restaurant was closed and not a lot of choice around.

The location of the house was perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting that was both relaxing and convenient. The kitchen and bathroom were exceptionally well-equipped, making our stay comfortable and hassle-free. We also appreciated the ample parking spots available, which made it easy for us to come and go as we pleased. One of the highlights for our family was the swimming pool. Our teenagers absolutely loved it and had a good time in the water. It was a great way for them to unwind and enjoy their vacation. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a family-friendly and well-appointed place to stay in Saint-Malo. The kitchen was quite compact, making it a bit challenging for four adults to pass each other comfortably. However, this added to the intimate and homely feel of our stay.

Friendly and accommodating staff

It was easily accessible and super easy to find. The use of the swimming pool was great, and being able to add on breakfast was also very good. The main part of the hotel was lovely, beautiful entrance path with roses a water fountain and the main reception was well looked after. There were lots of information booklets which was helpful for us to plan our week. We were taken to the self catering style cottage and given the key to let ourselves in etc. upon entering it was nice, smaller than pictured but still nice. The TV was very small though and limited with channels, the sofa in the living area was very uncomfortable as it is more of a sofa bed and not big enough for a family to share. Every time we went upstairs the stairs would creek so loud there was no way you could creep down to the toilet at night, which with children is quite difficult. The beds were uncomfortable, quite hard mattresses in both rooms and I would highly recommend taking your own pillows as we were only given one for each bed and they were like a pancake as soon as you placed your head on them. The toilet in the property had such a strong smell of urine that hit you as soon as you opened the bathroom door. I wouldn’t say it was dirty, I think it’s due to the plumbing set up. However, there could have been cleaning products supplied to help mask the smell, or perhaps some air fresheners. The kitchen was quite well equipped and even had washing up liquid- bonus! However there were no drying towels to finish the job. Aside from the swimming pool, the facilities were very tired and hadn’t been looked after, the tennis court was brilliant, the little golf set up needed some care and attention and a good garden to clean up the overgrown sections would have made a real difference. We only really used this accommodation as a base and it was useful for that purpose. It was also very cost effective for the time we were there. Before we arrived we asked if we could check in earlier due to the time our ferry was arriving. We were offered an hour earlier than normal and was expected to pay for this.

This hotel is beautiful! Unfortunately, it rained a lot that day when we stayed there, but we still managed to use the tennis court and the pool in the evening. One needs a car when staying there because of its location. The only bad thing was that the bottles in the bathroom didn’t have any shower gel or soap in them (they haven’t been filled up). The receptionist had already left the reception so we weren’t able to ask for refills. Luckily, we had some shower gel in our luggage. No refills and the price. ☺️

Quiet location. Good sanitary facilities. Close parking spaces. Friendly staff. Has a nice appearance with a great garden with many beautiful flowers outside. A NOGO nowadays: As deposit for potential charges, they insisted to write down my credit card information on paper by hand and stored it in their office. This can be solved by doing a normal reservation transaction on the card, that is reverted afterwards. That was so unsafe, unprofessional and outdated. Made me angry.

Especially the heated pool was lovely for a morning swim. The rose-garden leading up to the main building was spectacular. Lovely grounds. Really nice atmosphere. There was no internet. Everything else was great.

Great location and beautiful property with lovely rooms and great breakfasts. Emmanuelle was always lovely and is an excellent ambassador for the hotel. The swimming pool and the communal pool-table room were a great facility for us.
