Hôtel France et Chateaubriand

The reception staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful! Location was perfect, right in the square and next to the beach There was no Aircon, no ceiling fans, no portable fans nothing. Way too hot to have no ventilation, made sleeping so uncomfortable and my 1 year old was in a puddle of sweat. We asked if there was a portable fan we could use and they acknowledged they get asked alot but don't. If it's feedback they get alot and it's something that makes a guests stay comfortable then I don't know why they haven't actioned it. Unfortunately made the stay unenjoyable as we had about 4-5 hours sleep max per night

Staff was friendly and location was great.

The location was great and our views were fabulous. I loved how 'classy' the hotel was - a long history and the breakfast room (for example) was very luxurious. Staff were really nice and made me custom coffees too. Finding our room was a bit confusing but we realized that 2 buildings had been combined at some point and there were elevators for each wing

Wish we could have been higher in the building to provide a view. The website seemed to indicate there would be a view. The building was also a bit cluttered with materials for different things which took away some of its appeal.

Great location with nice room and great breakfast. The staff helped us with many questions. We enjoyed walking all over St Malo for three days.

Great Location right near the ocean and wall. Good view. Rooms dont have AC. They should offer water for guests. Maybe in the lobby.

The best part of this property is the location to the City center and access to restaurants, shops, and the wall - not to mention the views from our room. The staff were great and the room was quite lovely as far as our bed, layout and good pillows. Parking could have been explained a bit better. We did luck out with a great public parking spot close tot he hotel, but this could be shared better. We were really confused on where to go when we got there - and if we missed an email that’s on us.

Not easy to drop off luggage with the car It is a little tiered in places .

The room had an amazing view, very spacious and perfect for a family of four. We loved the restaurant/bar downstairs as well. Would love to return! Just notification of where to park before arriving.

My room faced the late night restaurants and bars so it was a bit loud but the rooms were cozy and well insulated which mitigated some of the noise. The bathroom is not well appointed, be sure to bring conditioner if you need it.
