Holiday Inn Express Saint Simons Island by IHG

Parking good. Breakfast good Had to be escorted to room by staff because key card reader was down. Phone in room could not call out but woke us up twice ringing for no reason. Husband had to get dressed to get staff to disconnect or fix it. Checked out a day early because of inconvenience.

Room key machine was down, sooooo everytime we left the room we needed the front desk to let us into our room..... the hotel is nice but needs to be "cleaned up" some..... staff was great, nice location and BF was fresh & hot!!!

Room could gave been cleaner the side tables had cup marks where they hadn’t been wiped down properly, facet on sink had water stains on it. Room smelled of mildew, and asked for more towels at one point and they said they wouldn’t have towels for an hour. Bed was comfortable though.

No plug-in for electric or hybrid vehicles. Initial help at desk was great, but we left some clothes in a drawer in room 121 and we had no follow-up or help with tracking them down. We could have had relatives pick them up, but no-one called us back after several calls to the day desk. Night clerk was very helpful and even went to room to check on clothes but could not gain access to maid service and day desk clerk indicated that no lost and found items were new. She indicated that she would check with cleaning staff and have someone call us back. So, wife had to go buy some new clothes to replace the ones left in room.

The room was extremely humid and musty. Also strong smell of Chlorox.

I liked that towels were brought daily and the trash was picked up daily, they had extra towels at the pool area. Staff were very courteous and helpful. The breakfast was great. I was quite surprised at the pleasant stay. Only thing I didn’t like was the loud noises from others late at night, you could hear them there walls, but that wasn’t unexpected from a hotel stay.

Front staff was very rude. Had to go buy cleaner to clean the room. I have stayed at many holiday inn express but this one will be one not to forget.

Breakfast was definitely the best part, as the staff that cooked was so kind !

Location. Good for exploring the island Lack of towels in pool area. Lack of extra towels in room. Somewhat congested breakfast area. Cleaning carts in hallway during breakfast time adding to congestion

We stayed two nights and the room was clean and comfortable. At night it was quiet and the staff was helpful if we needed anything. The breakfast was decent, there wasn't a lot of selection, but the area was always clean.

I loved the property it was nice location You couldn’t get in the pool it was green. So my kids couldn’t go swimming. Which is not a good thing when that’s what they wanted to do.

The room had a smell to it.

We always stay in Holiday Inn Express throughout the country when we travel. This one was by far the one that needs the most attention and updates of the ones we have stayed in. Desk and nightstand had greasy marks all over them upon arrival. The breakfast was horrible! Attendant never checked on refills. Biscuits could have been weapons.

Nice place to stay while visiting friends on the island.

Parking was convenient . I didn't like the pool.

Great place to stay on a budget in St. Simons. Very clean. Nice staff.
