Nothing There was no refrigerator in room or access to one. No ice available. Shower was not hot. Water temperature was regulated to Luke warm. There were signs everywhere telling visitors what not to do. Owner went into our room without permission and there was no emergency. She said if we needed anything to text or call and we didn't but yet she went into our room while we were away for the day. We came back and saw things were moved. We were so uncomfortable we left a day early.

Convenient to many nearby activities and restaurants, beautiful architecture to see and comfortable inside.

Flora is an outstanding host. From the great breakfast with homemade granola and sourdough bread to the advice on what to see and do in town, Flora was great. The house is very well kept and comfortable and a nice 15-minute walk to the center of activity in downtown Salem. The house is charming and the room was very spacious and very comfortable. There isn't anything I didn't like about our stay.

Location was excellent. Water in shower needed to be a little hotter.

The room and house are comfortable, quiet, clean, and Flora’s breakfast kept us fueled until well after lunch time everyday! The walking distance from the house to Essex Street/downtown was really great. No dislikes! I recommend the Northey Street House to anyone wanting a cozy, beautiful place in Salem!

So much history!! Very close to everything! N/A

Everything! Our Host was so lovely and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was comfortable and charming. Easy walk to downtown. Very clean. Our breakfast was delicious. I really loved that she had the history of the house in a book. I would recommend Northey Street House highly and hopefully return again. The time of year is crowded and parking is hard. It had more to do with Salem and not the house.

Beautiful home and really close to the center of town. Easy walking distance if you don’t plan to drive. Owner was very attentive and checks up with you daily if you need anything. Definitely would stay here again.

Everything! Flora was super nice, especially the scones, everything was in walking distance. We had fabulous midweek getaway!

I had the most wonderful experience at 30 Northey Street House, and I cannot recommend it enough. From the moment I arrived, Flora, my host, made me feel right at home. Her warmth and hospitality truly set the tone for my entire stay. The property is impeccable, with spacious and beautifully decorated rooms that are both cozy and elegant. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered—WiFi is fast and reliable, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and the cleanliness is top-notch. Each morning, Flora served a delicious breakfast that was not only nourishing but also filled with love and care. She also shared invaluable advice on the best places to visit, hidden gems in Salem, and how to make the most of my trip. Her recommendations were spot on, making my stay even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a home-away-from-home experience in Salem with all the charm and comfort one could ask for, I highly recommend staying at Northey Street House. Flora truly goes above and beyond to ensure her guests have an exceptional stay. Absolutely NO negatives

Flora was so friendly and pleasant! It was very warm in our room. It was hard to get comfortable with either the windows open due to humidity or the a/c unit. We tried both.
-
It’s a beautiful property and comfortable room. Flora the owner was so nice and welcoming!

My stay was wonderful. The owner is amazing and very helpful. She was able to make suggestions about where to eat and where to visit. It's within walking distance of downtown Salem so I didn't need to worry about parking in town. I would highly recommend this bed & breakfast. Nothing. Everything was wonderful.

Grateful for Everything The property was fantastic

The house is beautiful, and our room and bathroom were both very spacious. There was a heat spell going on, but luckily there was AC. Flora supplied reusable water bottles, reusable bags (for shopping), and while she kept basic breakfast necessities in the kitchen, she came and cooked for us (the fritata and the cottage cheese and strawberry parfait were particularly yummy). The Captain's Room (our room) is on the 2nd level, and the other rooms are on the third. The other tenants could get noisy, and were easily heard from our room.

Everything! The location was fantastic - close walking distance to most everything “to do” in Salem. The room was lovely, clean, comfortable. The bathroom was perfect, nice hot water and well equipped. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The host (Flora) was helpful, friendly, and welcoming. She does an absolutely fantastic job going above and beyond in many ways. Highly recommend!! Nothing

Breakfast was fresh and great every morning. We loved chit chatting with the host and other guests. Room was nice and cozy. Location can’t be beat. Price was a little high for what it was.
