Hawthorne Hotel

The hotel is very nice, a bit pricy for the room size. It is in a perfect place to see all of Salem proper.

Great historical building. Right in the center of the tourist parts of Salem. The bar for dinner was nice.

Everyone was so nice. Room was small but clean and big enough for me. If you're a book person like myself then you'll. Love this hotel!! Central to Essex Street and attractions. I had 2 experiences, 1 could easily be explained, the other I'm not sure. Beautiful hotel and if you want to splurge then definitely go!

We loved staying at the Hawthorne Hotel! Our room was small but very clean, the bed was super comfortable, the staff was helpful and friendly, and you really can’t beat the location which is close walking distance to Salem’s main attractions, especially the Salem Witch Museum and Salem Commons. There are also two restaurants on site which is great if you don’t feel like leaving the hotel for weather or whatever reason. We would definitely book here again! Can’t wait to come back to Salem!

The history and closeness to everything Salem No back entrance have to walk to far to car

This hotel is a historic, exceptionally clean, with incredible staff at the front desk to help you. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and it is in the middle of everything. You would be wrong not to stay at this hotel. And just set it off the restaurants are exceptional and the bar is great. If you’re looking for a little spooky night, stay in room 325.

I only have great things to say. The hotel and staff are wonderful.

We loved the history of the hotel and the central location to downtown Salem. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere. I felt like cleaning of the rooms could have been a bit better. The bathtub was peeling, as well. Some things could do with a little bit of an update.

Location was great. A 10 minute walk to the YMCA to only be turned away because I didn’t have the proper footwear to use their gym. The room was so tiny.
