Salem Waterfront Hotel & Suites

By far our favorite hotel on our Salem to Bar Harbor trip. It was beautifully decorated in nautical themes, convenient to restaurants, the waterfront offered views and great walking area and so close to a neighborhood that felt like a village.

Great location, clean hotel, and comfortable beds. The shuttle to various locations was an added benefit.

Loved our recent stay! Staff was incredibly helpful, loved the free shuttle service around Salem. Beautiful rooms, everything was in walking distance. Highly recommend.

Location was very good for exploring Salem. Best part was the shuttle service to just about anywhere you would like to go. Down side was the air conditioner unit was 3 feet away from the bed and would blow directly on the bed when on, the entire night and was pretty loud. Another concern in a king room was there was a sleeper sofa. It was very uncomfortable. All you could feel were the springs. Ended up just sleeping on the sofa instead. There are a lot better mattresses today that would be more comfortable. The was a huge round coffee table in front of the sleeper sofa as well. The table was very heavy and awkward to move. There are no laundry facilities there. Front deck said I could walk about 10 minutes to the laundromat. Sounds like fun to carry a basket of laundry/detergent down the street?

Perf location

We only had two complaints. First, there were no refrigerators in the rooms, which made it difficult to keep our drinks cold. Second, apparently the room’s air conditioner was out of service, so a portable air conditioner was provided instead. While it did serve its purpose and kept the room reasonably cool, it was quite loud and made it difficult to sleep. The portable unit also had to vent through the window, which meant we could hear street noise throughout the night. Overall, we enjoyed the property and would consider staying here again, but having working air conditioning and refrigerators in the rooms would have made the experience much better.

Great place,great location , great staff

Awesome breakfast at the mainstay social restaurant, within walking distance to everything and if something is a far walk they will take you In the hotel shuttle anywhere near by. Brought my toddler and he loved swimming in the pool at night. Very clean hotel.

Enjoyed our stay very convenient and close to all points of interest. Would have liked shuttle to run a little earlier or later in the day. Needed to change time for a shuttle ride was not available. Most staff were extremely helpful.

The hotel was very nice...great location...close to everything. Loved that they had a car there in case you didn't want to walk. Negatives: the front desk person who was much more interested in flirting with the handyman than greeting his guests. Not friendly at all...not a very good first impression and housekeeping that didn't make up are room the second day. The restaurant is great as was the waitress who was so attentive and friendly.

10/10 stay every single time. If you’re coming to Salem and want a convenient spot that you can park and stay while you walk around and explore all of the local spots- this is the one. The staff are always immensely friendly and helpful, everything is immaculately clean, and the onsite restaurant is an added bonus.

We loved the pool and was pleased it was open late, we are "night owls" I can't think of anything I didn't like.
