The Hotel Salem

The hotel staff are awesome and helpful. Hotel is centrally located in the pedestrian section of Essex. MTBA parking is only an 8 minute walk and very inexpensive.

Beautiful property in the heart of Salem! It sits in the center of all things any visitor would want to do while visiting Salem. Exceptional staff!! VERY welcoming and helpful! We’ll absolutely stay here again! Don’t forget to check out the roof top!!!

Very good

Very central location on main pedestrianised road. Very convenient for exploring Salem on foot. Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly, helpful staff. 24/7 coffee and filtered water available. Nice roof top bar. When arriving during the day you have to enter through an out of service bar/restaurant. We nearly thought we had the wrong place! The hotel reception is tucked away on the side - some clear signage at the front to direct hotel customers would be helpful! There is also no hotel parking due to the location in a pedestrian zone. Public lot parking is nearby but finding a space can be challenging and you have to be prepared to walk 5-10 mins with your luggage.

Room was clean. I think it’s the best location. It’s right by everything. It is a very cute. The rooftop diner had really good food.

Cool spot

The parking in Salem is unusual, and parking is not included with price of the room. The closest parking lot is about a block away. Do have a drink at their rooftop bar which gives a great view of Salem. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very nice and we came into Salem early. The staff took our bags and text us when the room was ready. If we come to Salem again, I would definitely stay here again for the convenient.

Everything went great. Just wish we had hot water for showers other than that it’s an awesome location central to just about everything you want to experience in Salem.

My husband, myself and 2 teens had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Salem for our brief visit to Witch City! We parked in a garage right around the corner, where we left our car for the duration of our stay and it was easy enough to carry our bags to the hotel. The staff were very helpful and courteous. For example, when we texted that we could use some extra pillows and blankets, they ran them right down. Our room was great and somehow we were lucky enough to snag the one room with a patio, which we thoroughly enjoyed! We sat on the comfy outdoor chairs and enjoyed the slow stream of people strolling by both evenings. The coffee bar in the am was appreciated and the hotel was beautifully decorated. Extremely convenient location near tons of shops and restaurants. We would like to return for a longer stay and would definitely rebook!

The room was clean but small. No coffee maker and coffee was not available until 7 am. The room also smelled the entire time of cooking. Like meat and seasonings. Too strong at most points. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly. Just need to do something to vent kitchen odor. Had dinner upstairs too. The salsa was not good and the chicken wings had a strange texture and flavor. Ended up just eating the chips and nothing else.

Definitely not ADA compliant. The staff were super nice.
