Quiet location, lovely room, delightful decor, breakfast perfect, handy to be so near to Railway station Nothing not to like

I needed to get a new suitcase the morning of my departure. As I came back and was bringing it up to my room, I was racially profiled by a member of the staff who asked me what I was doing and where my room was. I cannot recommend this hotel with such unacceptable behavior.

Well maintained facilities Very kind owner

Fiind vara si lipsind aerul conditional plus faptul ca hotelul este la strada si e destul de zgomotos face ca odihna sa nu fie punctul forte al hotelului. De asemenea mobilierul si camerele sunt vintage ca sa nu spun învechite.

Very close to the train station and public transportation. Not having AC was not a big issue. But, maybe having fans would make travelers a bit more comfortable in hot weather.

The location is excellent, right on the historic street. We were only there overnight so did not get to experience much. An older style hotel with a lot of charm and comfortable rooms and beds. Staff were friendly and helpful but a little flustered with a new system and did not greet us as we waited in line for others to check in. This place is a bit of rabbit warren located over several buildings adjoined and getting bags up to the top levels was a little complicated as the lift doesn't reach the top levels. Bathroom did not have a fan so became ridiculously steamy. We were not able to eat dinner at the restaurant as it was booked out, so do book in advance if you would like to eat.

The hotel has a feeling like when you're at home. If you're into the classical style hotels (not the modern ones or operated by conglomerates or chains), then this is what you're looking for. The location is perfect when you plan to go to the city center, or even to major areas coming from Salzburg (e.g. Vienna, Munich, Berchtesgaden, St Wolfgang, and more). Lots of close restaurants. The staff was very kind and helpful when it comes to questions about Salzburg and other possible activities. Breakfast was decently priced. I WILL DEFINITELY GO BACK TO THIS HOTEL WHEN I GO TO SALZBURG! I think that the wifi isn't strong enough. In my case, I purchased an e-sim beforehand for my daily travel so that helped me a lot. Well, to be fair, most hotels also have the same issue, so this shouldn't stop you from booking this amazing hotel.

Great location. The manager was excellent. Small room. The bed was too small and uncomfortable. Dirty

Location was convenient to the railroad station. Quaint property, with some older touches that enhanced the experience. Staff was super personable and helpful.

We had a pleasant stay and would happily stay here again, especially considering the value for money and the excellent staff. Our room was located in a separate building near the main hotel rather than in the main property itself. We actually enjoyed this arrangement, as it felt quiet, private, and almost like staying in a small home rather than a traditional hotel room. The room overlooked a garden, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. The hotel itself is clearly older and could benefit from some modernization in certain areas, but everything felt clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything we needed for a short stay. The standout feature of this hotel is undoubtedly the staff. Every member of the team we interacted with was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Their kindness and professionalism made a very positive impression and contributed greatly to our overall experience. The breakfast was also enjoyable, with a good selection and a pleasant atmosphere. The location is another strong point. While the hotel is not directly in the historic center, most attractions are within walking distance, and public transportation is nearby. Considering the price difference compared with accommodations in the very center, we found this to be an excellent compromise. Overall, this is a comfortable, old-fashioned hotel with character, a convenient location, and truly outstanding staff. If you are looking for luxury or ultra-modern facilities, this may not be the right choice. However, if you value friendliness, comfort, cleanliness, and good value for money, it is an easy place to recommend. There were only a few minor drawbacks. Although the room was generally quiet, we could occasionally hear noise and conversation from the room above through the bathroom ventilation system. It was not a major problem, but it was noticeable at times. We also found it a little strange that there was soap provided in the shower but no hand soap available at the sink. This is a small detail, but it would be a useful addition. Guests should also be aware that the rooms do not have air conditioning. During our stay this was not a significant issue, but it may be something to consider during warmer periods. Parking can be somewhat limited. The hotel offers parking spaces, but reservations are not possible, and the parking area often appeared nearly full. We were always able to find a space, but availability may vary depending on how busy the hotel is.

Breakfast was a lovely buffet where a healthy and great variety was available with lots of coffee! we had a room with a window to the street and that was a bit noisy.
-
More expensive relative to room size
-
Very nice people working there. Breakfast is good for the value of money Room dont have air conditioner. Bads are small with bad matres. One window only close to noisy street.

Staff were exceptional! Linda was incredibly helpful with our family’s evening plans.

The full breakfast was wonderful with many protein and healthy options. As a coffee drinker, I appreciated the small pot of coffee given at breakfast -- especially for travel in Europe. The owners and staff were all 100% friendly and helpful. The location was great -- about 4 blocks to the train or bus. Very convenient. The Hotel is dated, but everything worked and it met all our needs. It is thoughtfully well-taken care of. It reminded me of staying at my Grandma's home years ago.

I can’t think of one single thing that I didn’t like!
-
A little walk to the city center but they give you a free pass for the bus.

Great family owned hotel over a century. NA

The breakfast was great. Our first typical Austrian breakfast. Would have appreciated access to ice to add to the milk? Desk clerk was quite brusk. Would liked to have refrigeration in the room

Everything! Met all of our needs. Excellent location—we walked everywhere! Great breakfast, nice staff. Rooms are simple but clean and comfy. No complaints.
