Sunshine Boutique Hotel

Spacious, comfortable room with good WiFi. Jorge the manager was incredibly helpful. Great pizza place a five minute walk north. In this unusually rainy windy January the water was brown and trashy, and other than a little spit of sand outside the hotel there is nowhere to get into the sea for open water swimming. The buildings around it are shabby and some still abandoned from the 2020 hurricane. It’s a very basic, concrete island with a lot of spiky dead coral as the skirt of a shoreline. The rooms face the sea, but the fence blocks the view. Make sure to ask for coffee and cups.

Room quality, bed quality, breakfast is fine, AC is good. One km away are rocky cay and San Louis beaches. It’s not really a hotel, more like a cabin . Since it is out of town, food and entertainment options in the evening are limited. Therefore having public areas like kitchen are critical. No hot shower which is common in San Andres yet worth mentioning. I don’t understand why they don’t use solar panels

Rooms are good. Internet works well. The area feels very safe. Jorge is such a cool guy! Always ready to help. From the hotel, you can reach every place on the island in 15 min with a motorbike. The best beaches (cocoplum, St Luis) are just a few minutes away. Breakfast was in general good (it comes from an external restaurant), but maybe a bit smaller than usual breakfasts in Colombia.

Nice location if u want to stay in a calm environment. building ist about to get a second floor and then u have room with no fence in ur sight, but was anyway an amazing time. nothing to complain, keep going Senior Jorge

Everything was good but we didn't have water for a few days. The hotel was clean but it is far from everything so you end up spending a lot of money in taxis. There are not restaurants around that area. Mr. Jorge the guy from the hotel was amazing in every single way. He would actually a reason to go back. There was no breakfast available at the moment, but there was a mini bar stocked with beers, waters, and sodas. There were a few snacks in the room. The room was spacious for 2 people. The hammock was awesome. The a/c blows great and there's a fan on the ceiling. The bathroom was pretty good. The shower pressure was good too. The area was really quiet. The waves at night were amazing. The boardwalk was great too! I really enjoyed my stay. No wifi at the moment although internet on the island is just bad. The location is on the other side of the island. I had no problem with it because I wanted to experience being with the natives and had a fabulous time. But for people who are used to being around night life and stores I suggest staying closer to the center.

I liked (almost) everything. The silent location. The proximity to the sea (and even a tiny, nice beach). The view of the sea from inside the room as well as thr balcony (with a hammock) - perfect for sunrises! The windows (and glass door) are perfect - sound proof. They are the best part, blocking the (loud) sound of the winds and waves. They even (almost) blocked the sound of construction (they keep constructing here in thr hotel, which somehow is fine by me, because they know not to do it on the mornings, they are super nice and make you feel at home, the pandemic low season is a very good time for construction so who can blame them, and again, the perfect windows made it almost non existent). The room, shower (also pressure), bed, are all wonderful. No salty water, don't worry :) I liked everything, but the lack of restaurants is indeed a bit of an issue (at least until they finish building a kitchen for the hotel, which I think is what they're currently doing). Besides that, normal island issues such as lack of WiFi and hot shower, which are again, very normal here. Also, the Air Condition works, but isn't super cold and takes time to affect the room. Maybe it's just the gas missing.
