Villa Verde

We loved Villaverde! Luis was helpful and welcoming, and the house itself is charming, although not in a smart way. Beautiful swimming pool and garden too.

Exceptional

rodents and cockroaches in the room. black mould on walls and ceiling. no drinking water available. no apology when we complained about droppings all over our clothes.

The guy (Santiago) who runs the place in abcense of the owner was great! He did really an effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Overall hygiene could be better. Fix the roof in the kitchen and make sure there are glasses instead of most plastic things. We stayed there during the storm, and things might look worse than they normally are. But still I think the hygiene in the kitchen could be way better with small investment.

The tv in the room not working

The room was big and nice with both air conditioning and fan. It has its own balcony looking over the pool and a hammock. The bathroom is ok, a bit small but it works. The shower works but the tap on the wall doesn’t work, instead they got a tap on the showerhead It is a bit out of the city center so transportation is a bit difficult. On the way back we ordered a taxi that didn’t arrive on time to get to the airport. My partner had to take me on a rental bike. There is access to public buses which are scarce on a Sunday.

Loved the location and Carolina and Raul are so nice - if you need anything (ie. diving trip/snorkel tour, taxi, recommendations) they were so helpful! Highly recommend!

The place was very nice, a quiet house with a big garden, perfect for resting and relaxing. It's far from the city centre, from shops and most restaurants, which is exactly what I was looking for. The owner was very helpful, responding quickly to any request and suggesting activities and things to do while I was there. Not sure if it was because of the Christmas weekend and some of the staff being on holidays, but the common areas (kitchen, living room and bathroom) could have been cleaner.
