Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites San Angelo by IHG

I usually do not leave comments but I need to start. This hotel was good. I have no complaints. Staff was nice. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. The swimming pool was fine. If I had to complain, the elevator was slow. The ice machines were not working but they did have a rented ice maker on the 1st floor.

We reserved and paid for (a month in advance of our travel) a king suite and when we checked in we were given a room with 2 queen beds and not the king suite we reserved. The front desk staff literally told us that because we did not reserve through them directly, our reserved room that we reserved through Expedia was given to an IHG hotel member instead that had reserved through the hotel directly. They then said they were sold out and that the only room available to us was the non suite room with 2 queen beds. The staff was beyond rude and disrespectful to us. We will never stay there again!

Easy to locate & near the area we wanted to be in All the ice machines were broken. The facility seemed in poor repair & needed an update. In the breakfast area the equipment was out of order & the small fridge door was taped together

Room smelt horrible. The room and the bathroom smelt like mold! All you could hear all night was the highway. The floors in the hall way and rooms were nasty!

Bed was comfortable, so it’s a pillows, front desk attendant was very polite.

I’m handicapped. Because of the fire in Brady my husband didn’t want me staying on any floor but the bottom floor. The lady at the front desk was very helpful in getting us a room on bottom floor No orange juice

Nice hotel however needs some upgrades on carpeting.

Friendly staff clean room

The hotel needs an update, door keys didn’t work well, shower didn’t have much water pressure and there were no blinds for the window in my room.

Stayed 4 nights. Place looking a little run down. Breakfast was not up to Holiday Inn standards. Juice machine was out of order. They had a pitcher of apple juice and cranberry juice in the fridge. Some days it was watered down or warm. The pancake machine was not working. They even ran out of food. At one breakfast there was 2 workers in the breakfast lounge talking about my mom‘s scoliosis. Air conditioner works great. The room was clean. Before we booked, the pool was supposed to be up and running. But it was empty and dirty. The elevator was out of order for a half day. The bathroom in our room had a large hole patched but they didn’t finish fixing it. Low water pressure in the shower and mold on the ceiling. One of the big light shads was tore up. Because we use an outside booking agency, they wouldn’t honor or points for our stay. Sad. 2 years ago we stayed here. Was not so rundown and everything worked.

Yes, the bathtub plug did not work properly. All of the coffee in the room was decaf.

The room was ok but bathroom had lots of mold around the tub and not water pressure. It is better to spend a bit more and get a better place with staff that cares.

Rooms smelt horrible like feet n something rotten lady at the desk said there is nothing she can do, can’t move our room or anything when the hotel clearly wasn’t sold out…. Definitely will not be staying here again.
