It was like a paradise all garden well maintained. Is like going to Hawaii in San Diego

Great place and 2 blocks to the beach

Resort rooms need updating. Not very clean. Had damp musty smell in the room.

The food at the pool what not great. Chips tasted store bought. Rice was over priced. Resort fee of $50 upon check in and lots of other fees every time you purchased anything at the resort. The restaurant food was delicious and the service was good too. The beds are comfortable, but the pillows were not I ordered breakfast. It was $21 but I paid $40 because of all the extra fees. It’s a racket with all the extra fees. I felt very nickel and dimed! The place does need to be updated

It is a family resort but some families were letting kids trash pool area and runarou.d property unsupervised so be aware of things like that. Although its an older resort the location and grounds were wonderful, bed was ok, restraint was amazing, drinks are pricey and front desk staff ok Concierge was a delight! I would stay again.

Great location, great landscaping and great pool. Fun activities in hotel every day. Only downside is hotel rooms and facilities are outdated and need upgrade.

Uncomfortable beds and pillows, smell of mildew in room, closet and balcony doors difficult to open. Housekeeping never left the number of towels and waters that equaled the number of guests. Our balcony view was of old clothes and plant debris that accumulated on the roof of the building’s entry way. The fish and the ducks were cute. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

Our experience was 3/5 stars. We didn’t get much rest, which made our experience less enjoyable since that’s what we booked for. There seemed to have been maintenance going on at all hours with pounding and dragging on the roof. So maybe ask about that before booking. The staff was friendly, the place was clean. However, we booked a resort room with a king bed and amenities. We were giving a totally different room, which would have been find if they communicated the change. I noticed because it wasn’t a king size bed and the amenities were different. So with that, I felt like they were trying to get one over on me not just because I didn’t get what I specifically booked and paid for but mainly due to the lack of communication. It was only because I noticed and said something. I called and they did offer to move us and waive the resort fees, which I appreciated. We ended up staying where they left us because it was more of a hassle to move (by that time we already had all our stuff in the room.) Staff said they could discount or do anything about the room difference because we prepaid and booked through Expedia. Almost as if they don’t like it. We also didn’t get the VIP Expedia perks that were listed when we booked that we normally get when we stay at other hotels. Other than that the place was nice and again staff was friendly. It is clean!

The property is lovely and well-maintained.The staff was friendly & helpful, for the most part. They seemed to be very understaffed & running out of stuff-out of cookies, out of sour dough bread, out of pool towels.Friday night of a 3-day weekend, the bartender was frantic-all alone & trying his best.By the time we got the drinks upstairs, they were too watered-down to enjoy. The glasses were never cleared out of the room during our 3-night stay. The housekeeping was spotty, not always replacing items such as the bathmat, water,or providing a pen.The pool service was the worst.Dirty dishes, leftover food, and towels on chairs were not removed. We didn't know where to sit. One afternoon, there were no clean towels. We were told that last call & close out was at 4:30 p.m.-really?We hurried to order drinks, closed out,the server disappeared,& we discovered that the drinks she brought were not the drinks that we had ordered.Other than breakfast, the food offerings were not vegetarian friendly. At dinner, dirty dishes were not cleared to make way for another course, water glasses were not refilled, & I was not even offered parmesan for my pasta, which,by the way, was tasteless, & the server never inquired as to why it was left uneaten.I think the beach chairs, etc.,should be reserved for guests & not the general public (I was told anyone could use them). There were noisy, unsupervised children in the pool area & little room for adults in the spa.

It was great. Everything you expect from a resort. Only thing that was a rip off.... the cocktails were 20 bucks. I don't care were you're at, that's a rip off!! You have to pay for parking as well. Which is a a standard price gouge at most hotels. Otherwise everything was fantastic.

Nice property with a very convenient location. Could use an update but the property was clean and well maintained. Was surprised at how busy it can be. Overall great experience.

Great hotel and location. Rooms a little dated but good.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

The parking lot is very small and tight, making it difficult to get in and out—especially with kids. It’s definitely not worth the $45 per day parking fee. Additionally, there is a resort fee that was not included in the original room price when we booked, which was disappointing. Overall, while the service was great, the condition of the property and extra costs did not meet our expectations.

Gorgeous property with a great location

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Excellent location, family friendly, but the resort, particularly the rooms, are dated and worn

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Loved the beach experience with a room on Bay. Restaurant was very good but pricey. Excellent service. We'll be back.

We try to come a couple times a year and it’s always such fun! Love the aloha vibes! 🍍reggae at the pool is so chill! Plus my kid loves the pool!

    Great couple get away!

Cons: poor cleaning of facility. The pool area was not cleaned up throughout the day. Walked in to see lots of trash (old food plates, glasses, cans, all over). Over flow of dirty towels. I arrived at pool at 3pm and no staff available to take drink orders or clean mess. I actually saw a hotel guest cleaning up because she said the mess was grossing her out. Facility and rooms very outdated. Limited and outdated charging ports for electronics.
