illing to pay extra for all of this but they werent I finally did an door dash order and had it delivered and they agreed to receive it and put it in the room. But when we got there everything was just on the table or the fridge, nothing laid out. Didn't even put the flowers in a vase. And instead of sparling cider (like Martinellis) is was just two sodas. The note was just on a hotel postcard. I mean there was some effort at the end so I don't want to blame the indivial workers, just shows that hotel culture itself is not one of going out of their way and not really a place to go if you want extra care and attention. We still have an enjoyable weekend and it was great way to The hotel is a cool building and I love that they have kept many of the historical features. The basement is super cool with the original vaultsetx.

Quirky atmosphere. Helpful staff. Nice room.

Clean and the building is big
-
Good hotel, expensive parking, location felt a little seedy compared to area further south in Gaslight District. Close to many attractions.

It’s an impressive building! Historic and the rooms are spacious.

Very cool historic building. Front desk staff and restaurant staff were friendly and professional. Valet costs is ridiculous at $70/day with no alternatives. And the valet staff is always overwhelmed — we had to wait a good 20 minutes blocking traffic while one guy moved cars closer together to make maroon for us on the curb. Getting your car takes 15-20 minutes each time. Valet team is friendly, it’s just not an ideal set up. No iron in the room. There was no ice maker on our floor so we had to go to another floor for ice. You can only get regular Starbucks coffee (no other morning drink options) at the bar when someone is there which isn’t until 6 am. There are no hooks in the bathroom for towels so you only have the towel bar to hang towels to dry. While the building is secure, it didn’t feel safe to walk around the area at night. Was woken up at 3 am on a Sunday morning by a very loud argument between two guys and a woman. Had to listen to them screaming for nearly an hour despite calling the front desk. To be fair, the hotel did send someone up to put a stop to it after I called…however, as soon as the hotel staff member left, round 2 began. I don’t know how a hotel this large can be safe and watched over with so little overnight staff. I did have breakfast at the restaurant one morning and it was delicious and the server was very friendly and professional. I hate to leave a negative review but given the price of this stay, I expected more.

Great stay at the Courtyard in San Diego. In the heart of downtown and nearby good restaurants that are walking distance. Allowed us to check in early, which I thought was amazing!
-
Bed comfort was horrible. Calling desk was just no bueno, static and unable to hear customer service. TV was not working. Guest relations not friendly (afternoon/evening staff). I paid one thing with booking (as for rooms), hotel changed rooms. Wayyyy to pricey. Big inconvenience, missed most of the baseball game due to conversing with Guest Relations.

Good maintained old building No parking, no pool, no breakfast.

No parking, no pool, no breakfast.

Do be aware that, like most downtowns, there were some unhoused people in the area, but they never bothered us as we passed by.

The room was very clean. The building itself is a historical building and felt a little damp and musty. The staff I interacted with were pleasant, but there were very few people available to assist with anything. There is no pool and actually no real amenities. The area is close to a lot and very walkable. I ordered breakfast room service one morning and it was not good and cost $100. Overall, it was just ok but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel location was right for my trip.
-
Expedia had listed the incorrect room occupancy and the hotel was kind enough to give us a cot free of charge. However we were still only able to sleep 5 instead of the 6 listed.

Very good

First front desk person that “helped” us was rude and condescending and not interested in answering questions or actually being helpful. The bathroom was run down and dirty.
