Hard Rock Hotel San Diego

We stayed here because we attended a concert across the street- so location was ideal for that purpose, otherwise it would have taken hours to get a taxi/uber after a sold out show. Rooms were average and a little dated, but clean and totally fine. Staff were helpful and knowledgeable. The gaslamp district was ok, but a fair amount of downtown homelessness around (not the hotel's fault of course). The pool area was just ok, but not overly pretty and not nearly enough loungers to go around. There's a bar in the vicinity but no poolside servers. If it weren't for the concert, I would have liked to stay in the Coronado area instead.

Amazing hotel

Awesome place to stay. It’s located in a prime location with lots of cool places that are within walking distance. The hotel itself is pretty cool as well. Awesome rooms and just an overall cool atmosphere.

Convenient walk to petco park!

Stayed on 6th floor suite. Street noise was loud all night, hotel was clean, and staff was great. Pool and amenities were fantastic. Room was clean and had everything we needed

The room was gorgeous, the front part of room- living and bar-I loved it, but the bathroom set up didn’t allow for much privacy- with the doors you hear everything!

Staff was wonderful and helpful. Food and both restaurants attached to the hotel was amazing.

Great staff- very friendly and helpful. Rooms are outdated, grungy and kind of sad overall, especially for the price. But ofc, you’re paying for location which is excellent.

We had difficulty getting food. Mary Jane’s was closed early and the 207 bar didn’t open til late. There was nothing mid day available when we arrived

Room was very nice. Long line to check in but was a sold out day when we went. Convenient to just about anything and everything you need. Valet was a lot($70) and don’t offer self parking but we found a lot nearby and bought a Groupon for $16.

The property was nice and clean The check in process was absolutely ridiculous! We were there for the Jason Aldean concert and barely had enough time to get ready for the concert since our room wasn’t ready. They said guarantee check-in with room by 4 we didn’t get into our room until 5:10.

Guaranteed check in at 4pm ,what a joke couldn't get a room till 5pm

Just a great stay!

Initial review of the room - very nice, like the ambiance. Upon closer review, the furniture was old with some scratches and peeling on the wood cabinets. Additionally, for the price there was no complimentary water. Lastly the $70.00 overnight parking fee? More than 1/3 of the room rate? On a good note - the valet guys were good.
