We liked the configuration of our room, and the proximity to Sea World. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was fairly clean. It was loud. Street and hallway noise were very audible from our room. The location, while convenient to Sea World, wasn't really a family-friendly area. The fridge in our room was also broken. We didn't realize this, and spoiled some food we had bought.

We had a pretty good stay overall, and there were several things I really appreciated about this hotel. The staff were wonderful—everyone we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. One of the biggest conveniences was being able to store our luggage both before check-in and after checkout while we waited to head to the airport. That meant we didn’t have to drag our bags all around the city, which made a huge difference. Our room was clean and had both a microwave and refrigerator, which were great amenities to have. The food was sufficient—not necessarily anything to write home about, but definitely decent enough to get you going in the morning. I also appreciated having a nice tea and coffee station available. The location was another big plus for us. We were about 15 minutes or less from most of the places we wanted to visit. The biggest downside was the noise. There was quite a bit of traffic and activity outside the hotel, and on some nights it made it difficult to get adequate rest. The AC also didn’t get quite cold enough for my preference, which made sleeping comfortably more difficult.

Pros: near sea world, DT, zoo, Balboa park, and very centralized location with every thing near by. Breakfast was a hit with kids. Cons: parking lot is tiny so if you driving a big suv/truck good luck parking, pool and gym are small. Don’t like the fact that people were swimming with clothes on. Perhaps they should put a sign up.
