Lamplighter Inn & Suites at SDSU

Property was clean and well maintained. Staff at check in was friendly and made great recommendations for dinner.

The room was older, but very clean and conveniently located near a bunch of restaurants. Try the Daily Grind cafe! So good! Overall, this hotel is great for families. It has a full size fridge and stove for families looking to save a little money.

We hadn't noticed until we were about to leave there is and Ice machine, a vending machine and washer/dryer in a separate room, which was a nice surprise. Our only complaint was that we arrived late one night to find the only available parking spaces were to small due to other guests poor parking, but the night person was helpful in letting us use a different space where we wouldn't be towed.

It is really clean and you can tell they take pride.. has an old Latin feel to it.

Super clean room, nice pool area and breakfast space. Comfy beds and pillows. Had to really push open the door as it was pretty stuck. Couldn't get the TV to work but not a big deal. For touring SDSU, this was a great place to stay.

The Lamplighter exceeded our expectations! The only issue was parking, the lot is small and we were in a minivan. The lot was also full by the time we arrived, which made sense as it was around midnight. Ended up parking on the street but it wasn’t bad — we could actually see our car from the hotel room window. Beds were very comfortable and continental breakfast was tasty. We would definitely stay here again. 10/10 recommend!

Don’t understand the high rating for this place. It is an old building, breakfast is not that great. Only value is the cost.

Pool was nice! AC did not work well

Comfortable and clean. Good firm bed. Personable staff. There was a simple but decent breakfast. Proximity to SDSU a plus for me to visit son. Parking was terrible. Too tight. It's on a busy street but didn't notice any street noise.

Check in was helpful and friendly, thanks Oskar. Good location, lots of eateries and grocery close. Simple but nice breakfast it was well stocked. Nice pool. Wifi good.

Property clean, bed comfortable. People in room above us were very loud, kept us up late. Front office representative hard to understand, spoke fast and seemed like she needed a break from work as she was quick to just take our payment and dismiss us.

TV didn’t work. Kind of outdated, but beds were comfortable.

Very affordable. Heated pool. I like the look of the place. It was clean. I liked having a full kitchen in my room. My very first day, the lady I checked in with was not very friendly & short. I was annoyed there was no bath tub. I have a kid. Baths are easier. I researched & viewed pictures, it said there were bathtubs at the location. If the room with the full kitchens don’t, that needs to be made known when people book the room. The continental breakfast could be improved, a few more options…like bacon
