Motel 6 San Diego, CA - Southbay

Staff was friendly. We checked in at 5pm and room was not ready. We did have to wait 40 min.

Great hotel for the money. Can’t go wrong with us. Comfortable bed, large room, and updated bathroom facilities.

No bed bugs so that's a plus.

Upon arrival, checked in and was given a key card. Went up to my room and found somebody already in that room. That person was very upset that he was bothered. Went back downstairs and was given a second key card. Got a new room, that room had very dirty sheets, tons of stains, window in room did not lock properly. Staff could do better by knowing who is in what room and when. Housekeeping can also use some improvement.

Clean room, great air conditioning, and great location. Parking was good. No complaints. I would recommend this place and I would definitely return for another stay.

This hotel was surprisingly well appointed for the value. Spacious room, lots of seating. Def rough around the edges, though, I imagine it gets a lot of use. Could use some paint here and there, and there was a visible gap to the outside under the door. We put a towel down at the bottom of the door to make sure insects and ambient light from parking area didn’t sneak in. Comfortable beds and good AC.

I enjoyed my stay. Their pet friendly also. I will definitely look into staying there again.

Very well lit Only available room was a smoking room which stank of smoke and had burns on quilted spread and toilet seat lid

Close to freeway access. Noisy guest above our room. Maybe they had children jumping up and down.

The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. Definitely our favorite Motel 6 in San Diego. I have no complaints.

I didn't have any issues and will probably stay there again next year. I had knee surgery recently and asked for a floor on ground level but was put on the 2nd floor even though it was supposedly given an OK when I asked several weeks upon arrival.

At the check-in counter, the attendant was very accommodating and was able to get me an available room so that I was able to get to work which was greatly appreciated. Our overall experience went above and beyond acceptable.
