Location, location, location! One minute walk to the dog beach. Reserved parking on the property is a plus. Definitely a good place to stay with your fur babies.

Perfect place to stay with your dog to go to dog beach

The room was gross. We left same night. The toilet seat was dirty, floors dirty, smelled like pee, walls and everything felt so gross. The AC was nice to help with the smell. The staff was kind but the pictures are not accurate at all.

Amazing room

Air conditioning was lacking and unable to cool the back of the room or bathroom. Unfortunately. If you are assigned a studio, your dog will not be able to socialize. The only reason I booked this motel. The Ice machine is slow. The Shower physically hurt. The adjustment lever was missing. The Blinds are missing slates that left me exposed to public view from the street and to fellow visitors in transit to and from the office. The room and bathroom are tiled wall to wall and there is no rugs not even a welcome matt outside the door. So, sand will migrate everywhere in the room and it made the floor uncomfortable. I did find some brooms near the laundry room. The staff was easy to talk to and friendly. Though I felt I couldnt get a reason why we couldn't be moved to the pet patio. I came to this business in order to reward my dog for being such a dutiful pooch. I wanted him to be able to enjoy the unique easy socialization that is part of the stay if you are in a 1st floor room. Sadly, his time was spent with his head on paws watching dogs wanderingblinds on the door. Anytime I request more than 1 day the value vanishes for me. Maybe I just have bad luck. Too much going wrong compounded with not knowing if your dog will be able to enjoy the major feature of this property. Oh well, I'm done trying to stay here.

Dog run was excellent.

The biggest problem was the ants. We had ants all over our room, and they even got into our dry food. The staff tried to help, but unfortunately they weren’t able to get rid of the problem. The room also looked quite a bit different from the pictures online. It was pretty run down, with dirty ceiling vents, cracked tiles, peeling paint, and just generally showing a lot of wear. Also, being so close to Dog Beach, there was definitely an odor of dog pee when out on the patio. That said, we still had a great time and made the best of it. I think the hotel has a lot of potential, but the rooms definitely need some updating and the ant issue needs to be addressed.

So if you stay, steer clear of this room. I wanted rest after losing my dad recently, and I ended up on about 4 hours a night sleep due to being woken up lots. If you stay in every other room, you'll have an epic time - especially top floor of twins! Location is unmatched - steps away from the beach and the team were so helpful. They let me still use the pool when I'd past check-out so I could relax before my flight. The laid back vibe of this place and cute little mid-century chic vibes/friendly team will keep me coming back. Will definitely request another room totally next time though. The food truck on site is absolutely epic too - definitely give that breakfast sandwich a try. The fact this is steps away from dog beach is a massive plus and the sunsets nearby are unmatched. Will be back soon hopefully!!! p.s. visit the OB Surf Shack food truck nearby too and antique mall for vintage treasures ahoy and a quick drinkie as Pacific Shores - the team there are so friendly and it's a retro vibe!

Property was in a great location. Staff was very nice and very helpful. The property is very old and needs work. Our room had been updated but still needed some work.

Really need to upgrade the parking especially if we have to pay

The beach access is everything. Rooms are minimal and fairly comfy. Dylan and the rest of the staff were helpful and responsive. Fantastic breakfast and brunch spot is on site. Dog beach is right there. Its a great spot.

Decent location with a great view, restaurant was delicious for breakfast

The rooms are very clean but no chairs to sit on in the rooms and no place to put soap in the shower. Also we did not know we needed to arrange for clean towels to be put in our room when our dog was out. Air conditioner was too loud to run

And the hotel room it smells horrible when we walked in like cleaning supplies like bleach and not in a good way it just wasn’t clean. It’s like run down there. There was no parking available because they were doing construction next-door.
