Clean room and very friendly staff. Four days and three nights was just right.

    Everything was good

One night was not enough. Although the room was small for our family of four it was more than enough and nice. The bar and restaurant were very tasty and happy hour was great. We were there in the middle of summer ending so the pool was adequate but I’m sure in high season it will feel cramped. Location, service, views, we will be back.

The Dana has seen better days. Inflation gets us all. My main gripe with The Dana is that accessibility could be improved throughout the property. The sidewalks are thin and the accessible pathway seems added as an afterthought (one was quite steep even for my light scooter -- doesn't seem safe for a wheelchair person by himself). Also, parking is relatively cramped and often overflowing. Beyond this, The Dana is at an exceptional location and is a good hotel for corporate functions with nice pools overlooking either the bay or the marina. The Firefly restaurant is quite good.

This property was perfect for our family of 5. The room was spacious and had plenty of cabinets and shelves to organize all of our things for our week-long trip to San Diego. The pool is open late and the rooms get cleaned every day. The property allows you to borrow chairs and an umbrella to take to the beach -which was fantastic. The parking is a bit pricey on top of the already expensive room rate/fees/taxes and daily resort fee. I know parking fees are common to many hotels but on top of everything else it just feels excessive, especially in a place like San Diego where it’s very difficult to vacation without a car, forcing guests to pay another few hundred dollars for parking.

Nice to have free chair and umbrella rentals but they were very cheap… maybe upgrading this would be better. I thought the cost was high for the quality. Overall a decent place and great locationz

For the rates they charge, a popsicle seems like something everyone should get. The restaurant on site was slightly above average food wise but the service and drinks were excellent. The location, service, views, and gardens were all excellent. As walkers, we both loved the walk along the coast around the marina. Definitely catch the seafood restaurant across the street from the hotel called Sportsman’s Catch (or something similar) amazing fresh fish sandwiches and excellent prices. We saw them loading in fresh caught fish in the back. Over all a 8.5/10…definitely would stay again.

Great location and staff! Beautiful property!

Overall good location. I prefer the bay side to the boat dock side. The rooms are larger and nicer. It was very annoying that they charge guest an added 6% to their checks if you eat at the Firefly restaurant. That’s so weird. Never seen that before. I would’ve eaten off property if I had known that .

location was great. Pool area was fantastic, easy walk to more nice areas. Staff were super friendly and helpful at all times. great resort feeling, parking easy some traffic noise from our room location going over the bridge.

    Loved our stay here!

The suite was clean and spacious, however a little dated and the Arcadia door failed to lock, but maintenance repaired it quickly. Next we went to firefly for appetizers and cocktails. The hostess was helpful and accommodating but our server was a no show until we made a comment to the bus person after two tables after us were attended. Afterwards, MANNY came to the rescue to take our orders, followed by a manager who apologized and offered a discount on our bill. The drinks were spot on and the calamari was excellent as were the Thai chicken wings. The musician playing had a good vibe and the volume was perfect ! Manny, thank you for being attentive and Johnny on the spot for my wife and daughter!

The housekeepers did a great job making the bed, replacing towels, drinks, coffees etc. and vacuuming the floor. The mold painted over in the bathroom wasn’t nice. There was also mold present in some other parts in the bathroom. There was a screw that was glued into the wall - this screw holding the headboard and it had fallen out before we checked into the room at some point. The property had lots of parking. The beds were not bad. The fridge, microwave and safe were great. The restaurant was okay, a 3 out of 10. Chilaquiles were overloaded with canned sauce, breakfast was okay, dinner was not the greatest - overly priced and so were the drinks at the bar, too much ice for very little drink. There is “too much ice” for a drink. The hotel had two pools and they are salt water - my family and I were at the tropical pool most of the afternoons and evenings, never saw someone check the PH Level during the week that we stayed there. I know you can go longer without checking with salt water but it could’ve been checked especially after hearing some kid pooped in it. The tropical pool remained open. All and all, this is a decent place to stay in, not totally worth all the money you pay for it. Parking fees $25/night. You’re already paying a bit to stay there, you have to pay to park your car to spend the night outside too. If you have pets too, you’ll pay a nightly fee too.

The rooms were a little small, but we were not spending a lot of time in them. They were very clean. Housekeeping did a great job of keeping up with the towels and sand

Lovely property, great pools, clean rooms. Isolated if you want to see the city but great if you’re there for the beach or Seaworld
