That is the biggest pro. We'd stay again for the above alone but defo ask for a Bay View next time. The room we had which was good as far as rooms go but was very dark and overlooking a parking lot - and the other side of the bay. Staff at reception are not the warmest and our check-in and check-out left a lot to be desired. We went to the onsite Dockside Restaurant which I highly recommend. Great food and service. Quite pricey but having wine in America is for some reason. Short 10min walk to Mission Beach which has a boardwalk and is good for swimming and only about 20mins to downtime and 5mins for Seaworld (if people still go there?).

This is one of the best properties I have ever stayed out. Courteous staff. Clean beaches and amazing restsurants. . Just an awesome place close to the beach and amusement park. They even have a seal habitat on the property where they rescued blind seals. You get to watch and appreciate them while drinking your coffee at the excellent airstream cafe beside there habitat. 10/10 resort. Thumbs up from a Canadian.

Really great spot. Would stay again

The resort is completely outdated. The rugs are old and dirty. The hotel is pet friendly to an extreme. There are dogs everywhere..... in the pool, in the store, in the beach....everywhere. Due to the rugs, there is a dog smell throughout the resort. The resort also borders the public beach that was filled with people living out of their cars and in tents. It did not feel safe at night. The location is beautiful and convenient to get to the San Diego Boardwalk. The restaurants on site were not great and completely overpriced.

I had a very nice stay at the Bahia Resort Hotel and would definitely recommend it. The property itself is beautiful, and I really appreciated the free parking. I stayed in a garden-view room, which was clean, comfortable, and well kept. The staff throughout the resort were also very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I especially appreciated how helpful Guest Services was. I needed to print a document during my stay, and all I had to do was email it to them. They printed it for me right away at no additional charge. There were a couple of unexpected inconveniences during my stay, but neither would prevent me from returning. Both restaurants had unfortunately run out of pastries, so gelato was pretty much the only dessert option available. The second happened in the middle of the night, at around 3:10 a.m., when the battery on the fire alarm ran out and the alarm became quite loud. However, I understand that things like this happen and are outside of the hotel’s control. I really appreciated how quickly they had security respond and take care of the issue. Overall, everything was great. The property is beautiful, and the beach looked especially nice at night. I arrived later in the evening and left the following morning, so I didn’t have a chance to enjoy the pool area or many of the other amenities the resort has to offer. Even though my stay was short, it was a very pleasant experience, and I would definitely consider staying here again.

Loved the location and the atmosphere was amazing. Very clean and very well maintained. How the other side of the property since it’s a public beach it’s difficult to enjoy that side due to vans and campers and the smell was horrible. Also our room sliding door wouldn’t open anymore so we lost the patio for 3 days of our trip.

Nice room. Both restaurants had good service and great food. Good size pool and large jacuzzi. Bar at poolside with food service available. Requested view of bay. Didn’t know the balcony was going to overlook a public beach and fairly busy road. Had quite a bit of noise from beach and road early in morning. Would have requested different room had I known. Small bathroom. Ordered bonfire and s’mores. Was supposed to come with waters and attendant. Attendant left as soon as we arrived. Didn’t provide any waters.

It was great! Would def stay here again!

Room was cleaned, but keep in mind Bahia has been around for awhile. For being my first time I think staff can be friendlier.

The room was good, there’s no vent in the bathroom so it was definitely hot in there. Room service was quick to get us extra sheets and a crib. Everyone was very friendly. We loved that our room had the beach on either side, and the pool was pretty close as well. Parking can get busy, but not bad. We had someone double park behind us and security was great at getting them to move. They are pet friendly, so we saw a lot of dogs. Great place for families, they play pool games and also had a movie night there.
