Staff was excellent! I’d stay here again if you want budget and good location for eating, many eateries and cafes. Too far to walk to the wharf, however Lyft was 10-12$ each way.

I wish they included pictures of the “family suite” on the website. The two twin beds are really just a twin bed with a trundle bed which might be fine for younger kids but I have two older kids who did not want to sleep that close to each other. Also the floor felt unsafe and soft in spots. The staff (who were super kind and helpful!) moved us to a double room which, even though it didn’t solve the bed issue for the kids, was a much more comfortable option. The breakfast in the lobby was fantastic and they made parking easy.

If you don’t mind the wonkiness of an older property, then this place is for you! Great location, fabulous free breakfast, cute pool, secure facility, stellar staff!

Cool place to stay

Very helpful staff, Ricky and Carl were so nice and gave loads of advice on places to see and things to do. The free use of the cruiser bikes was a highlight, we cycled to the Golden Gate bridge and took some great photos. And the heated pool was very welcome at the end of a long day sightseeing

The staff were fabulous. Simple breakfast but the quality of what was on offer was excellent - special call out for the pastries. Kids had a great time.

Great hotel and friendly staff. Just come early if you want a good parking spot and if you have a SUV!

This is one of the best places I've ever stayed at!! The wonderful staff were so welcoming and helpful. Shout out to Jennifer, in particular! The owners are so smart and thoughtful, making a typical drive-in motel into something truly unique and special with bright colors, high quality beds and breakfasts, free bikes, and a great heated pool for the kids! All the thoughtful choices have created such a warm, communal environment. There's no place I'd rather stay in San Francisco! We'll definitely be back!

Cute decor, very friendly and helpful staff, centrally located, nice amenities including coffee and water at all times. Swimming pool was great for my family. My only complaint was there were no black out curtains but the staff is already aware.

The hotel is cute and in a good location to walk to restaurants. We stayed in the family suite which wasn’t as described. It was advertised as having a queen and two twin beds. But really it was a queen with a side room that had a kids bed with two twin mattresses. In order to use both twin beds one of them would be a mattress on the floor. So not actually two beds. It would be great for young kids but not so great for teens and an older kid. I wish I had just reserved two queens.

The staff members were extremely helpful throughout our stay. I really wish I could remember the name of the girl working the front desk in the afternoons during our stay (July 28–30, 2026). She was absolutely amazing.

The location was perfect. Walkable to most places we wanted to visit. Helpful and friendly staff and a great breakfast. Felt safe and secure. Rooms Could do with a little update nothing bad about them.

Continental breakfast is very good (only pastries, no meats), including bran and carrot cake muffins, blueberry Danish, almond paste croissants, and flavored/unflavored oatmeal packets . Flowater dispenser outside the office provides refrigerated filtered water 24/7. Free snow cones were served one hot afternoon near the pool (which guests do use frequently ); also free wrapped cookies were available at the front desk. Could use another set of outside bins for trash, mixed recyclables, and compostable. Beds were super comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Parking in the secure gated area under the units is about $50 a day (first come first serve ); you can pay in advance for multiple days of parking, but that is NOT a guaranteed reservation (hotel refunds you for the days you lost your parking space to someone else ). I parked my rental car on the street the first night, but paid for the hotel parking for the remainder of my stay, and used other transportation. I justified the price by acknowledging that I could not afford to risk time having a potentially vandalized car window, haggling with the insurance company, and filing a police report . (Ask about the hotel’s additional parking lot down the street). The street facing windows to be replaced with sound proofing , since the windows (as of the year 2026) transmit the sounds of garbage trucks and sirens.

The breakfast was really good & there were drinks and snacks at other times of day. There were nice places to eat and good transport nearby. The room was clean and the main bed was really comfy. There was a lovely seating area outside and games to play. The room was slightly squished with bed settee and fold out bed but good value for a family of five that I couldn't find elsewhere.
