Great price for what you get. Area gets a bad rep but honestly it’s the same as any other city. Bed was comfortable and the room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Elevator is slow and small. The stairwell is really not an option unless you are a fit young person and it is a an extremely small narrow right spiral. All the staff was nice and helpful. Coffee and breads are available in the lobby in the morning. The water machine in the lobby takes forever to filter water which is a bummer. Overall great stay and fantastic option for budget travels

Locks didn't work on the 4th floor, so they "upgraded" me to a room with 7ft ceilings on the 1st. If that was the upgrade, I'd hate to see what my original room looks like.

Wonderful location near Union Square and downtown Market street and all the mass transit. Cold rooms but you can request a heater and mini refrigerator. Many eateries near by. Microwaves in lobby lounge for use. Very British. Even has a red British phone booth. Very friendly staff. Reasonably priced.
