Extended Stay America Suites San Jose Edenvale North

I've stayed at quite a few Extended Stay America locations over the years, and this was by far the worst experience. Check-in took over 30 minutes, which felt incredibly long after a day of traveling. They required IDs from every adult staying in the rooms, and at first wouldn't let me check into both rooms even though both reservations were under my name. We were told all four adults needed to be present before they would complete the check-in process. The rooms were very outdated and not well maintained. Several lights didn't work, there was mold in the shower, and there wasn't even shampoo in the room. After asking for some at the front desk, we were given one tiny bottle for a room with four people. The worst part was finding stains on the sheets. At nearly $240 per night, this hotel was way overpriced for what it offered. I've always found Extended Stay America properties to be clean, comfortable, and dependable, which is why this stay was so disappointing. Unfortunately, this location fell far below expectations.

The bathtub had a very slow drain. The positives is the place was basically clean, the appliances were clean and the kitchen too, bathroom was cleaned, the TV worked well and staff was helpful and polite. The inside of the place did not match how nice the outside looks. But it was quiet. Would I stay there again…definitely not. Would not recommend unless someone had a let.

They did not have the room we reserved and charged us more for another room. Front desk was rude and not willing to cooperate. There were maintenance issues in the room as well

I would not have stayed here but I was in a time crunch for work and had already booked and paid online. They also tricked me into paying again once I arrived. I got the charge refunded but it took multiple calls/emails and about 1 week. None of the staff seem to know how to do their job and the evening staff is exceptionally useless. The manager is extremely rude, will talk over you and not listen at all. I literally had to tell her to be quiet and just listen please without talking. I don't enjoy talking to adults that way but I felt I had no choice. I really wish I would have just slept in my car that night not just because of the bug bites I still have up my leg but, also, knowing I paid money for that experience. Feels like I've been robbed twice by these people. Luckily, I got one charge refunded. Extended stay, never again....

Mia was awesome and incredibly helpful and pleasant to interact with. She’s a real problem solver and should be put in a management or supervisor track!!!! Go MIA The property needs a serious refresh.

The location worked well for us. The bed was actually very comfortable The ENTIRE hotel needs to be renovated! Our room/kitchen area was old and dirty. Spider webs on the windows. We didn’t need to cook during our stay but the little stove top looked like it would have burned the whole room down if we did!

The whole experience with Avondale North is horrible especially with management and working appliances. Just everything about that property is bad.
