Hotel Del Rio

On our way to the hotel, my backpack bounced out of the golf cart and went missing for a few hours. Thanks to the amazing staff, Griselda, Jennifer, and Christine, who were proactive in helping us recover it. Not only were we grateful for their help that day, but they were always so helpful with their recommendations in restaurants, sightseeing, and how to have a worthwhile experience there. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so smooth and going above and beyond to make our time there so wonderful. If I had to say something bad will be about sargassum, but definitely it's beyond their power a lot of other places have the same issue.

All of the Rio staff are very friendly, and asking for and getting additional equipment for eating was no problem. There is an inner security door on the room that is spring loaded and bangs shut if you forget to steady it each time you come and go.

There is not a beach with the hotel. The beach is across the road and not accessible due to plants growing on it.

The location is fantastic and perfect for those looking to experience a more authentic local lifestyle. ​We met the owner who has had the property for 28 years. ​It's a great choice for those who want to see how the locals live. The rooms are definitely on the small side, more like a studio. ​There is no kitchen, no pool, and no TV. ​The property has some age to it, so it won't be for everyone.

The manager and staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Very safe w security at night. The hammocks in the garden were lovely. Hot water in the shower and good water pressure. The hotel is situated opposite the loudest bar/restaurant/club on the island. You hear the music in the room. The room is a bit dated, and needs to be renovated.

Wonderful helpful caring staff Nothing

The staff and the room were very nice. The noise level at night...until 12;30 a.m....was excessive; both road noise and music from nearby restaurant and bar.

Property was somewhat worn, like a lot of San Pedro properties though... The noise from the neighboring bars/restaurants was too much. I had to wear headphones to try to sleep.

Lower Price would be nice. Bit farther many restaurants and attractions and about 20 minute walk from Belize Express & Customs office.

Location and staff were amazing. They were EXTREMELY attentive and made us feel so welcome. The security was there every night to make us feel safe and the complementary bug spray, towels, and sun screen was great when our bags didn’t arrive on time from Miami. Couldn’t be more thrilled with our stay! Nothing!

Cool spot just north of downtown. Close to restaurants. Friendly staff. Close to the beach means night life and noise.

The place is spotless and perfectly located—just steps from great bars, restaurants, a bakery, and golf cart rentals. The team is wonderful, and the property manager is truly one of the kindest and nicest people we have ever met.

Grounds

The very friendly staff and wonderful cleaning lady who did are room every day. The location was good and convenient. The sea weed that covered the beach and the music that played from a bar across the street.

I didn’t like that it didn’t have a tv and the room was a little outdated.
