My experience was terrible. The man at the front desk had an arrogant attitude and was not friendly at all; he answered the questions I asked angrily. The room was dirty, and the towels and blankets smelled of dust.

The hotel is in front of the train station and it was extremely loud every 30 minutes when it was blowing the horn as it passed by. Also, the TV volume was set at a very low volume and could not understand the reason. I tried everything to try to increase it but nothing worked. Also, the current are too short for the window. I did like the bathroom digital mirror that provided extra lighting

The hotel is located on a nice place of the city. The staff was very friendly and the AC worked perfectly. The issues we dealt with was that the wifi was not working (we couldn't connect any device) and the bathroom door will slide open unless you place an item to hold it still.

I reversed the double queen beds room through Expedia. I received the confirmation and payment receipt via email. However when we arrived, the hotel representative told us they did not receive the payment. We contacted Expedia and they gave us two options-refund or reallocate. It was 11pm and we were so tired we didn’t want to reallocate so we accept full refund and request to book through hotel directly. Expedia cancelled our reservation then that room was booked immediately by another person and no double beds available. We were so frustrated about expedia services. Hotel front desk lady is a very nice lady and arranged a double beds room for us which was not supposed to be available.

Was a clean and well maintained location. The staff was helpful and quick to help with anything you may need. There are several stores nearby for shopping and restaurants nearby as well. Walking distance to the boarder. Definitely a place I will choose in my next visit.

I had the pleasure of staying on this property while going to a concert in Chula Vista. I called ahead of time to secure my 2 beds, and had the true pleasure of not only speaking with, but then checking in with the owner/operator. He was nice as could be, and is quite hospitable. I enjoyed speaking with him very much. My room was recently renovated, and had a huge TV in it, as well as a mini fridge. These are smart TVs, and allowed us to connect to our Amazon account to watch a movie. Beds were comfy, and clean. Bathrooms are huge, and possess a really cool heated and lighted submirror that didnt fog up. Really nifty device! Coffee in the morning was also good. The value of this hotel cannot be understated, from amenities to the kindness of the staff, to the superior sense of giving the owner had. I cannot recommend this hotel enough! A true gem, and we for sure will be back!

Have cash ready for a deposit. Exact change only. It was a good place for a late night check in.

I’ve been close to noisy areas but just be warned the trolley close by is noisy. It was a beautiful room. Clean and homey. Comfortable bed and safe feeling area. The staff was helpful. I think the noise on the back side was too great to consider the stay nice and to consider staying there again if other options further away from the trolley are available. A few restaurants and shops near by.

There was dead bugs on the floor and not very clean,

We really liked the place, it was very close to border crossing and good choice for i94 updates, it saved lot of time searching for parking and it’s pretty walkable and the area is quite.

Very clean and modern

Unfortunately it’s run down and the rooms had a funky smell. The phone number on file was not working and couldn’t reach them but we were told the rooms were wheelchair accessible. They most definitely were not and the only elevator had beaten up broken boards that made getting in and out very rough.

The system was done and had to pay cash. I had to use ARM in lobby which charged a fee. I had to pay a $50 cash deposit to have them check room before checking out. When I checked put the attendant accused me of using a hotel towel to clean out sand from my vehicle. I explained that I had it from another hotel stay. She reviewed room and took pictures. She said that there were stains on sheets. I told her it was makeup and sheets can be washed. She was not pleased with my answers. I got my deposit back eventually. I would not recommend anyone to stay here. Plus it smelled really bad because of rhe Mexico sewage in the ocean.

I would like to take a moment to recognize Yana at the Rodeway Inn for her outstanding customer service. From the moment I arrived, Yana was welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. She went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable and that all of my questions and concerns were addressed. In a world where great customer service can be hard to find, Yana truly stood out. Her positive attitude, patience, and willingness to help made a stressful situation much easier and left a lasting impression. It is employees like Yana who make guests want to return and recommend a hotel to others. Thank you, Yana, for your exceptional service, warm hospitality, and dedication to making guests feel valued and appreciated. You are a true asset to the Rodeway Inn team. — A very grateful guest

On multiple occasions, people knocked on our door late at night, approximately four to five times and even attempted to open it. As two women traveling together, this was extremely concerning. We asked the receptionist whether the hotel was safe, and we were assured that it was. When these incidents occurred, we tried contacting the front desk using the room phone, but it did not work. We also attempted to call the hotel phone number listed on file, but the calls would not go through. As a result, we were unable to reach anyone for assistance when we needed it most. The repeated knocking and attempts to open our door left us feeling trapped and unsafe in our room. This was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying here again.
