La Cima is a special place. It's camping in the jungle, not a hotel. But the homemade vegan food was super delicious, even though it wasn't cheap, Karen and her family are super nice - they care for ex-pets and raise them around their home. Thank you!

Nice, quite place right in the middle of Parque Tayrona away from the touristic area. Basic (tent) but all you need, with fire place and only bird/animal sounds at night. Friendly owner (speaks English too)

Perfect location to enter at Calabazo late afternoon (free after 1pm) and do all of the eastern Tayrona hikes and beaches fresh the next day. Incredible staff and pet birds!

Staff is most friendly! The place and location is gorgeous and it was the best food we got in the tayrona park and we spend three days total.. would recommend! X

Peaceful setting away from the crowded areas of the park. Karen was very friendly and helpful enjoyed her meals she prepared. Able to pay on card for the property and meals also.

The staff is great, Karin and her family are really welcomimg and helping with everything.. We also loved the position of the camping in the end because it's on a less known path and with less people around. You are in the middle of the nature, and it was cool at night. It's not that I didn't liked it, actually I did, but just to point out that going to the beach it's 1.5/2h with 500mt of elevation more or less and then same on the way back. But it's really nice.

Amazing place in the nature! If you look for a place in the park Tayora that feels connected to the park, it's nature and it's animals, look no further that la Cima! Really great spot!

If you like hiking and wildlife you will love this place as it is situated in the forest at the top of the mountain, 2 and a half hour's walk from the beach. It's away from the most popular parts of Tayrona which means it's really quiet and secluded, after some firefly spotting you fall asleep at night to the sounds of frogs and you wake up with the cockerel! The walk through the jungle was completely incredible and an absolute highlight for me, we saw capuchin monkeys, tamarins, bats, lizards, agoutis, hundreds of butterflies and birds, it was one of the best nature experiences of my life. We stayed two nights in a tent which was as comfortable as you could expect from a budget camp site. The breakfast and dinner were simple but very tasty. They have a pet parrot and she screams a lot, I found that a bit distressing.

NA I’m not sure who Karen is that people are raving about in previous reviews - this place appears to be run by two young boys (about 13 and 6 years old respectively) and a man named Larry who seemingly only handles the exchange of money. We booked a tent with two single beds and got a single tent which frankly wasn’t big enough for even one tall person let alone two. The tents are also clearly not cleaned - it was filthy inside. There are screamingly loud animals screeching and squawking all day and night too so earplugs are an absolute necessity. The meals were cooked by the slightly elder of the two children who seem to run the place and were perfectly fine (especially given the age of the chef and the fact that he had no help!!) but not anywhere near worth the 45,000 they cost each. I would strongly advise anyone looking for accommodation in the area to instead stay in one of the places on the beaches as they look so much lovelier than this.

Great location Might want to look at tenet size for 2 people considering that they have backpacks. Very very tight space

Beautiful little place which tried to accommodate for your needs Lunch and dinner ended up being quite pricey with no communication of the costs until you get the bill. It wasn't bad, but if I was paying them prices, I would have gone ate elsewhere to be fair

Had the best time at La Cime. One of the best places to stay in Tayrona - way better than the hammock camps at the Cabo beach. Tents are comfy and dinner as well as breakfast was delicious.

Location was amazing. Rustic and beautiful, and the hosts were amazing and accommodating. Highly recommend checking this gem out, especially if you have a few days or plan to visit Tayrona. It also has a viewpoint overlooking the surrounding mountains that is beyond gorgeous.. awesome to see the sunrise and the fog and weather rolling in over mountains that you can see for miles. Nothing. This place was amazing.

Definitely a different experience from the others we're used to. Totally recommend, especially if you get the tent at the mirador

The most amazing place to stay. Right in the middle of the jungle. Karen and her family are super welcoming. I stayed in a tent at the top of the Mirador with the most amazing view of the sunrise in the morning. And the air was so cool and fresh up there - such a welcome relief from the heat of the jungle. And I was surrounded by the sounds and creatures of the jungle: frogs, birds, fireflies at night. Karen's food is delicious and filling. Home made with all local ingredients. Delicious juices. And local fruits afterwards. It is really easy to get to. Just a 45 minute walk from the entrance or a 20,000 cop motorbike. It's an hour and half to walk to Playa Brava and same to Playa Nudista and 10 minutes more to Cabo San Juan. The two different paths to both are close to the hostel so it's a perfect location which to explore different areas. And Karen speaks perfect English. If I didn't have to go meet a friend in Riohacha I would have loved to stay longer. They have links to the Kogis in Tayrona and I would have been very interested to visit them and learn more about their way of life.
