Monte Verde Tayrona

Reservé 3 noches, pero sólo pasé 1 noche en el bungalow que quería debido a un fallo en la tubería ya que no le llegaba agua, no era culpa de hostal realmente. Tuve que moverme de habitación por dos días seguidos y en el segundo cambio de habitación la limpieza no fue agradable. Sería bueno tener más lugares para ubicar equipaje ya que hay gusanos caminando por las paredes y en cualquier momento pueden entrar en nuestras cosas. En el bungalow que está ubicado de primero al entrar al hostal se siente mucho el ruido de la carretera, y en los que tienen aire acondicionado la luz se baja constantemente, por lo que muchas veces puede hacer calor. Son más frescos los que tienen abanico.

The room was clean and the bed was big as well as the bathroom. The meals they served were good. It is located close to Tayrona’s park. The staff was friendly. They didn’t have good internet and we wanted to pay with e-wallets or even with card but it was complicated so I consider that they should have a back up plan in case of any emergency. It was difficult to get their replies to our questions by this platform or by what’s app (they said they didn’t have electricity) because we wanted to go to Tayrona so we wanted to get updates about the entrance as in the website isn’t clear. There aren’t many restaurants around. It was raining heavily and there was a lot of water coming inside the bathroom, they should fix the water leakage

The location was ok, still a bus ride away from Tayrona. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. Honestly not much that the staff could do but my room had a lot of bugs in it, there was no hot water (I think this needs to be a bit cleaner on the booking page - only through reading very old reviews did I find any info on this) and there were a tonne of mosquitos by the swimming pool.

The views were stunning at Monte Verde. The staff were so kind and helpful. I enjoyed staying in the treehouse, where I felt part of the forest there.

Nice swimming pool and really great views from the breakfast terrace. A basic but comfortable private room with a hammock outside. For the price room could have had a bit more character, maybe some hangers for clothes too.

Very calm and peaceful, right next to the road that leads to Tayrona entrance so its easy to catch a bus there. Steps away some restaurants and a shop so can grab necessities. The hotel is on the hill so getting there with luggage requires walking 40 steep steps up. I received help with luggage on the way up, but there was noone to help me when checking out. Windows and the door are not very well isolated, so my room was full of bugs every evening, as light attracts it. Little pool next to my Chalet was full of bugs so I didnt use it. However, main pool was clean and nice. I would suggest improving seating faculity as plastic chairs are very hard to enjoy the sun.

Great location in front of the bus stop and 15min away from Parque Tayrona. Owner were really nice and made us feel at home. Breakfast was really good (eggs, arepas, coffee, juice, fruits) with different options available Nada

A good place to relax ,with nice surrounding , close to all the Essential and to one of the main entrance of Tyrona park , the owner and the staff were super polite and makes my staying there even better

the location is just awesome, the architecture and the split of the cabins, the staff are the best ever so friendly helpful and kind internet is too slow

Beautiful hostal very close to Tayrona park and easy to get to/from Santa Marta. The bus stops literally at the doorstep of the place. The couple who owned the place were very friendly and happy to give lots of tips on the area. Room itself was basic but comfortable. Bare In mind there’s no hot water but you won’t need it with the heat! Pool was also lovely.

The photos don't do this Hostel justice, the gardens around the huts and the surrounding mountain are amazing. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the pool is decent, and the food is great. Getting the bus to Tayrona National Park was super easy too, wait on the main road for next bus (blue, white, and green, running every 10/15 minutes) and be at the main park entrance in 7 minutes. Would also recommend going to Mendihuaca beach (pronounced mendy-whacker), use the same bus as Tayrona, just a few stops further down. We stayed in one of the villas, the rooms didn't have air con but did have a couple of fans. Only having one bathroom for five people wasn't ideal although we could use the shower next to the pool in a pinch. No bin in the room either.

Location is great, very close to Tayrona park entrance. Enviroment is very nice and pool also. breakfeast is also good. The room was dirty.

Very little. 2 km from entrance to Tayrona National Park. Mosquito net filthy and full of holes. Shower was just a plastic pipe coming out of the wall. No shower head or hot water. Lots of creep crawlies in room. Pool looked dirty. Tiny breakfast.OK for a child. Noisy main road with trucks and buses etc.

Nice location almost walking distance from El Zaino Entrance to Tayrona NP Clean pool. Ok breakfast. Internet is intermittent, towels are not replaced even after 3 days but that’s expected in a hostel. Stairs could be an issue for some.
