Property was great, staff so welcoming. I forget the lady at the front desk but she made me feel right at home as a solo traveler. Everything was good

Staff was very helpful in getting about town and helping contact transportation. In-room safe was available which was nice Rooms need a bit of a refresh, however was a good value for money. Pool was under repair (repaint job) so was not usable, but i wasn't planning on using anyway. TV did not work

Kind of small the room

The property best feature is its location, close to main government offices, restaurants, and Joaquin Balaguer subway station. It is a beautiful old house, well decorated, peaceful and comfortable. The rooms are spacious. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price/quality ratio is great. Everything was just right.

Warning, I do not recommend this place. When I entered the room, I was greeted by cabinets with slimy stains on them, which made me want to inspect the room more thoroughly. I then found a dirty bathroom and a bed with fleas and old hair. I’m not joking — I have it on video. After that, I said I wouldn’t be staying at the hotel. It was 2 AM, and the manager agreed that a refund would be issued to my card. A few days later, when I called to ask about my refund, they told me they don’t have a refund policy. After arguing with the manager, I eventually gave up because I didn’t feel like fighting over $70. In any case, I don’t recommend this place and advise others to be cautious.

Helpfulness of reception staff, the pool, the location, the quietness of this sanctuary, and the history one could feel in the place. Curtains and windows need work. Breakfast very poor, I ended up buying more nutritious options at the supermarket.

The garden and outdoor sitting area is fantastic.

The hospitality of the staff. The size of the hotel, it's a small one, lovely, quiet, it's a good place for online work. The location is good, near to all facilities and cultural events. No restaurant for lunch and dinner. The breakfast is basic

Excellent staying, I enjoy the hospitality of all the staff. Fabulous garden. Nice and clean swimming pool. Good and complete breakfast.

Charming, colonial style boutique hotel with lovely and ornate styling. All staff were friendly and very helpful both at reception and breakfast. The breakfast room was in the courtyard with well planted tropical borders including some magnificent travellers palms and a nice pool and loungers; perfect for cooling off at the end of the day. Breakfast was simple with juice, eggs, bread and coffee or tea. Our ensuite bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a comfy sofa, air conditioning, refrigerator and bottled water provided. In a pleasant neighborhood about a 10 minute walk to the Malecon and close to shops and restaurants. A few minutes walk from the bus stop for Express Bavaro/Aptpra bus from Punta Cana and Joaquin Balaguer (line 1) metro station. A provision of shampoo/shower gel would have been helpful. We felt it was a bit wasteful that the bar of soap was taken every day which we were happy to continue using. In the end we hid the one in use so we didn't have to start a fresh one unnecessarily. Unfortunately, the restaurant wasn't open for dinner.
