The kids loved the lagoon pool, which starts shallow and gradually gets deeper, as well as the adorable Rock and Star bunnies. We also enjoyed cozy movie nights in the room with the projector. Mario was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The location is also super convenient, with supermarkets and plenty of places to eat just a short distance away. Such an enjoyable 3-night stay! We were sad to leave only because the place was fully booked for months ahead. So, if you're planning to stay here, book early!

Room size is great, pool's also quite convenient right outside the room. Access to common kitchen was quite helpful as well. Also, the sourdough bread by the owner was great! It definitely had a lot more community vibe than a typical hotel/resort. Everything (beach, restaurants, mall, play area for our toddler) was quite accessible through Grab at reasonable prices. The mattresses are standard spring, which wasn't best for me. Also, the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. The property is a bit dated and its definitely starting to show.

The owner, Mario, was very helpful and lovely to deal with. The place was clean enough - we had the Honeymoon Suite with a large bed. The location was not so great. Streets narrow and hard to walk with a pram (had a 3 year old with us). Very few decent restaurants nearby. The pool was small though not very clean on the sides, though good for small kids. The place looked tired and old-fashioned; no fault of the owner who has worked very hard to maintain it; but it could do with a refresh. We stayed one night only, and then moved to Nusa Dua for the second night, even though we had paid for two nights.

It's not so close to the beach so walking is possible not ideal but that can be an advantage because it's a quiet and genuine area and transport options are very cheap.

I liked than they are the only place Pet Friendly.

Location was quiet, garden was nice, and well maintained with fun animals (rabbit, chicken, doves). Rooms were large and spacious. I personally liked the outdoor shower, which had good hot water Mario was friendly. My booking didn't include breakfast but Mario invited me to try his sourdough bread several times and he is an excellent baker. He also gave recommendations for some excellent restaurants nearby. Provided a Netflix account for use. Internet was great. Aircon was great. Free drinking water is available to all guests at all times. Towels were very thin and rough. Soap was never refilled during our 4 day stay even though the room was cleaned daily. No hand towel was provided and a floor towel was provided for us on the second day. No linens were provided for the bed, only a bottom sheet and a quilt (without covering). This blanket smelled dusty so we left it outside for several hours before using. The mattress in our room was uncomfortable. Kitchen is usable by guests but was disorganized on our first day. It was cleaned up later. They use the same kind of soap in the kitchen as they give the guests in their bathrooms. I personally felt a little strange washing my dishes with bar soap instead of dish soap. There was also a wasp nest on our porch. I told Mario about this and he said he knew and was watching them build it. This didn't cause any harm, but was very confusing to me... why would you leave a bee nest by the door if you know paying guests will stay there? I had to ask him to remove it, which to his credit, he did promptly. Thanks! He has gorgeous lights throughout the property as garden accents, common area, and on the patios. When we would return from dinner at around 9-10pm the property was dark enough that we needed to use flashlights. Our porch light was turned off every day without telling us. As a point of improvement it would have been nice to be informed about the lighting situation and warn us in advance to prevent confusion and miscommunication.

Nice, cosy bungalow with yoga deck and “no roof but palm leaves” shower. Truly enjoyed my stay. Mario, the host, was really helpful and attentive. Everything was perfect!

The bed was a bit firm for my preference.

We came for diving trip and book the whole venue( four villas) and enjoyed the whole trip with Mario (owner of the villa) as we had to get up very early like 6am, Mario came everyday for making breakfast for us. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy, always hot shower, best swimming pool in the sanur (nice design), nice location!

Fabulous on all levels. A warm greeting from Mario was a perfect start to the stay. The property is a set of older style Balinese rooms which were large, cool and calm. It was extremely quiet and felt very peaceful. Having access to a kitchen as well as trying Mario's home baked sourdough was a joy. I cannot recommend Villa Shantitara highly enough, and although I do live in Sanur now, will be back if I ever need an escape to somewhere quiet and peaceful, and will recommend to visitors. Thanks so much.

Shantitara is beautiful, peaceful, full of greenery with 2 bunny rabbits, fishes, turtle, lovely swimming pool, great host MARIO ? (he is such a helpful and great gentleman - always helpful). Spacious room with outdoor bathroom. Outdoor kitchen if you wish to cook your own basic food. Walking distance to supermarket, restaurant *Afterwork*, cafe, small fruit market, massage parlour. Mario serves breakfast and fresh homemade bread (extra charge). Shantitara is like a small piece of heaven away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded streets ❤️ Nothing.

We really loved this place. Four small villa's around a nice garden with beautiful swimming pool. Mario created a very nice place. And our kids also loved the rabbits that hop around in the garden.

Staying in the Bungalow was great, an oasis of calm and peace in Sanur. It was so relaxing! It is possible to use a fully equipped kitchen and Mario bakes a delicious bread which can be purchased on site. The accommodation is just a short drive from Sanur beach; easily reachable by Motortaxi. The bungalow was perfect for our family of 4. Thanks Mario! It is not easy to walk to the beach. The traffic is crazy and there is barely any sidewalk. We initially had considered taking bikes which are available at the accommodation, but quickly dismissed it when we saw the traffic situation. We feel that it was still worth staying somewhat outside of where the action is and all the resorts are. It had a nice local flavour that we appreciated a lot...
