We had trouble communicating with the receptionist, we texted in advance to tell them we were arriving a bit late and they didnt answer, when we arrived we found no one on the desk cause it was already midnight, and we wait till maybe 3am till someone appeared. Luckily the door of the hotel was open, but it was a bit unfortunate, everything could've been solved if they wouldve answered to the text so we could arrange a smoother arrival.

Such lovely gardens surrounding a very clean pool. Loved it and great breakfast.

The location is good, at the ring road end of Jalan Tamblingan and opposite Icon Bali. Jalan Tamblingan has a good range of restaurants and warungs close by. The gardens are superb. The owners show singing birds in competitions, and there are dozens of birds in cages, something I find hard to deal with. My parrot at home has the fly of the house, never caged. There is a trophy cabinet and a display of intricate cages in the dining area. The included breakfast was good and plentiful. The bed and pillows were comfortable. WiFi was fast and reliable. The pool area looked inviting, but I don't use hotel pools. It doesn't affect the quality of the accommodation, but I don't like seeing caged birds. No tea/coffee making facilities, but the kitchen will provide hot water if you have your own coffee.

This was our 3rd stay at Yulia 1! We loved it so much the first time that it became our base everytime we were in Sanur!

The setting, the care for the landscaping, the pool is divine. The staff is very helpful and accommodating.

Excellent location, tropical surrounds, small pool , lovely breakfast included. For true Bali travellers who appreciate the Balinese ambience on a budget, I find this great value with a peaceful, quiet atmosphere, lush tropical flora, close to all facilities…will continue to return…. For the room rate, and all the above, nothing.

Loved all the birds and being woken up by tokay geckos in the morning! Staff were friendly and the breakfast was great! Would stay there again!

Loved the garden and vibrant birdsong. It’s an oasis in a noisy neighborhood. The pool was refreshing. Beds are a bit uncomfortable

Nice gem hidden in the center of sanur. Very relaxed and if you don't mind the birds in the cage. Plus a swimming pool.

The only downsides were that the room smelled of damp, the toilet was constantly draining, so we had to turn the water off at the base, and the bird cages are put back out very early in the morning so if youre a light sleeper like me, you will be woken up.

The was an oasis in Sanur. So many birds and beautiful plants throughout the property.

Close to warungs and across from icon shopping center straight through it to the beach walk Nothing really it's great value for money if you want Bling pay 4 times more

Room a little bit hot.

The location is the only good think about this place. Close to the mall and the beach. And I guess the pool is also a plus although I didn't use it We arrived at 2pm the check-in time, but the room wasn't ready and we had to wait 20min and it was quite hot. The room was horrible honestly, the bed didn't have sheets, just a blanket which I think was never cleaned. For the AC you have to pay 100K extra. The room was full of mosquitoes, we had to ask for a spray to kill them, we killed over 20. The toilet was not clean at all. We only had to spend one night before taking the ferry to Nusa Penida and were too tired to change, but I would not recommend it at all. I've traveled a lot, and I never leave reviews, but in this case I think it's necessary just to warn other travelers. If any proof is sent to me that the place has improved I'm willing to remove the review, I don't want to hurt anyones business but this place was a really bad experience for us and I think no one deserves to live the same experience. It's a place that should be max max 5$ a night. Hope the owner reads it and decides to make improvements based on my feedback. Just with clean bed sheets it will already make a difference

I have stayed at Yulia 1 before and will stay again. It is a lovely oasis in Sanur. It is in an excellent location, even better now Bali Icon has opened across the road so access to the beach and beachfront restaurants is now even easier. The grounds are very green and cool with lots of birdsong. There are a lot of warungs nearby as well as more upmarket/western restaurants as well as plenty of spas for massages and other treatments.
