The Garden Villa

The entire place clearly needs a deep cleaning and renovation. All the pillows were dirty, all kitchen surfaces were dirty, and when I took spoons out of the cupboard, they were greasy and covered in dust. Considering that the bungalow was priced like a decent villa, this was very disappointing. Honestly, for this amount of money, I expected at least a cleaner, fresher, and more pleasant place to celebrate the New Year with my family.

Nothing This hotel is really quite miserable and feels completely abandoned. The staff have no idea what service means. The only thing they seem to do is laugh at everyone. We saw them laughing in the faces of several guests. Every time a guest asked for something, they would look at each other, laugh, make jokes, hit each other like children in school. Honestly, very, very disgraceful. The cleanliness was absolutely shocking. Everything was dirty the floors, the bathroom, the whole room. It was impossible to sleep in such conditions. We asked them to please clean the room again, they said “yes, yes, later,” but of course they never came. When we reminded them, they laughed again and repeated “yes, yes, later, later.” In the end, we had to abandon the hotel next day when we was thinking stay 3-4 nights because it was impossible to stay there. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Someone there told me about different ownership. I would have liked a long term lease if the real owners had stepped forward proving ownership and providing "due process documentation as the Notary said must have. I was disappointed.

The pool was spacious and the staff were very friendly. The beds were super comfortable and we slept so well in the quiet area. The villas were starting to get a bit run down, especially in the bathrooms and it was a bit of a walk (or drive) to the main road and an even longer drive to the main area of Sanur.

I loved that is was tucked away from the hustle and bustle and the greenery was so relaxing. I was concerned about flooding in the road due to rain, but it did not affect the Villa

Exceptional

Bed was comfortable. Aircon was already on and the room was cool when we arrived. Large spacious room with kitchen facilities and a cute bathroom. They allowed us to store our luggage with them after we checked out and when we came back they also allowed us to use the pool before we left with our stored luggage. Friendly staff and lovely luscious gardens. A panel was missing in the bathroom to the outdoors so it was always warm in the bathroom and little bugs could get in. We just kept the door to the bathroom closed. We also found a little dried dead frog in the room, didn't bother us. Room was otherwise very clean.

found a gorgeous out of the way place in Sanur - The Garden Villa - very Bali style and staff just lovely, reasonably priced accommodation and yummy meals and a gorgeous swimming pool and garden. You can even cook if you want to with kitchen, dine, lounge on verandah overlooking garden in my case or pool, if you want. Just brilliant for a chill week and only a short Grab ride to the main hub of Sanur - beach and shopping/ dining. Loved it. Occasionally WiFi went slow but at the start and the end it was excellent. Limiter for sound on TV too low. It made sound difficult as I am a bit deaf and found it too soft even with my hearing aids.

Nice pool The room was stinking of mold from the moment we entered. The walls were black with mold. We told the staff, who attempted to find another room for us. The next room was actually worse. The owner/manager at first was sympathetic. When we told her that we would stay for a night, as it was nearly 10pm and check out in the morning and asked about a partial refund. She walked away and turned of her phone off. We left the next day with no refund.

Staff were moderately friendly and helpful. The frogs in the bathroom and bedroom were cute. The mosquitos which kept getting in gave me an excellent workout all night trying to keep killing them. The bad menu was great and helped me keep to my diet of not eating. This place is awesome because it made us really appreciate everywhere else we stayed so much the more. This was a rotten stay! If you have no standards, hate yourself, don’t like food, like having bad showers, like being a long way from any facilities then this is the place for you. The two ladies at the desk tried their best in a mediocre sort of way, but This hotel is to be seriously avoided.

The pool was nice There was a lot of mold in our room, frogs were coming out of the drains in our bathroom. The bathroom was not clean and the pipes were clogged so no water was being drained when taking a shower. The kitchen being outside was not really usable and it was also pretty dirty.
