Hyatt House Schenectady / Mohawk Harbor

While the hotel itself is fine we reached out before through the expedia platform when we made the booking requesting a late checkout. Someone messaged us and asked what time are we looking to checkout and we said 12pm if possible. They then told us that is their standard checkout time. When we got there the guy at the front desk insisted otherwise and said that we didn't speak to the hotel we spoke to someone through expedia. What's the point of that if the messages state its coming from the hotel itself? Even so we booked 2 rooms and asked if we could even checkout at 12 for one of the rooms and leave the other room by 11am and they were still unwilling to accommodate.

Stayed with the family. Room was spacious with full kitchen and a living area. Very clean and courteous staff. Breakfast was good. Parking was ample. The room was facing the river. I’d definitely go back again.

Close to casino and many dinner spots Child above us running around all night and all morning. Finally fell asleep then fire alarm went off. I understand it’s not the problem of the property just wish people had respect.

We didn't have our room serviced and had to go to the front desk to get more towels to use.

Great hotel, brand new as of 6/2026 and the best option in Schenectady. Conveniently located to the heart of town with a nice view of the river.

Great family friendly place to stay! Beautiful water views and excellent restaurants/bars within walking distance. We will be back again in the near future!

Really a nice place to stay

The bar was closed as they had no staff. It would have been nice to be able to sit and enjoy a beverage on patio at the end of a long day.

Most accommodating staff. Mr. Henry was a great addition to Hyatt. Will come back for sure!

Lovely new property with friendly, helpful staff at front desk.

Continental breakfast and staff are excellent. Fitness center small but useful. The rooms are well equipped and big and the bathroom was big with a n ice hot shower/tub and towels.

We stayed one night and did not spend much time in our room beyond sleeping. We took an Uber to Johnny’s for Happy Hour & dinner before seeing a show at Proctor’s. Front desk staff was great, room was clean, we did not take advantage of the free breakfast—we went out for breakfast.

Staff was very helpful room was clean and we had an amazing view of the harbor!
