Hillcrest Inn

If you are looking for something fancy and up to date I would say this is not the place but if you need a great location and care more about the location and not being too pricey, this is the place! We stayed at the Holiday Inn in the past which is obviously more up to date, has breakfast, a pool, just a little further from the beach, but we paid almost double to stay there. For our family of 4, this was perfect and will come back again!

This place was more than expected and what we paid! It was quaint had a lot of character in and a homey feel! The owner Ruth was great to talk to had awesome information and made sure you felt welcome even giving parting gifts. They were blankets that you can take out to the beach for use all kinds of beach chairs. First drive up to the property you can't get its character and charm from the street but once you walk in and check in it's wonderful!!

Front office was an unorganized mess. Would not stay here again.

Location is excellent. The beach and the main strip in Seaside are only a few minutes walk away. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. It's an older building, but that adds to the charm and everything was very clean.

The location was fabulous! Within walking distance to the beach and the strip. Everything just felt so cozy, and very family friendly. They had this cute little barbecue area set up if you wanted to use it, as well as several games, cards, and movies available to checkout from the main office too. The staff were also incredibly thoughtful! They created this little doggy welcome care package for my little, and provided a list of dog friendly restaurants nearby, as well as restaurants that offered discounts to guests. The stairs were a little sketch in one spot, and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable. The parking is also VERY tight and limited. But otherwise everything else was fantastic!

This place is not sleek and elegant--go to a large hotel if that is what you are looking for.

While the place is a little outdated, the staff were very kind and helpful, had many amenities in the front office like snacks, games and movies, and extra beach items and blankets which turned out to be helpful during a last minute beach activity. The room was clean and had everything we needed and when we needed towels they were given to me immediately. Would stay again and definitely recommend this place to others.

The front desk people were so kind and helpful. We brought our corgi and they were accommodating and kind to him. The room was clean, quiet, and had everything set up for us. We very much enjoyed our stay and we will be coming back again!

We are very grateful for our stay at Hillcrest Inn. Ruth was very accommodating, and stayed late to help us get checked in after our flight was late. We appreciate her hospitality.

Great location with quick walks to the beach or shopping, restaurants and bars. My first night I walked over to meet friends for dinner and I realized I may have forgotten to lock my car. I called the front desk and Ruth went and locked it for me. The next day when I was debating on driving or walking another hotel worker said they would make a sign for where I was parked to reserve the spot for me. That was so incredibly nice and above and beyond what was expected. I would stay there again.

Great location! Close to so many things to do

The staff was hospitable and friendly, they made us feel welcomed. The rooms are clean and the sheets smell so good and are so comfy! The location is as good as it can get, super close to the beach and downtown area. We loved every minute at the Hillcrest Inn.

Beds were good, towels and sheets were clean and showers were hot though and that’s the important stuff when it comes to a quick overnight stay for our family. 🙂
