Small complaints were the furnishings, the stools inside were falling apart, and needed to be maintained. The place needed to be painted, as you could tell its been well loved, and our outside windows were so dirty you could barely see through them. However, the inside was clean, and you could tell the housekeeping staff cared about the job they did. This place is a small, very cute little place, compared to the other places on the Promenade, and we really loved it. The staff were all friendly and easy going. I will definitely be back. The location could not be beat. Thanks guys. Just tighten up those stools. 😉

The property has an excellent location on the beach. That being said, the property is getting old, as other properties on the Prom. Check in and ice are across the street from the Inn itself. After checking in we went to our room and had to have the room recleaned as there was dust and unclean surfaces throughout. They came back in and recleaned the room. The cleaning staff was very appolagetive and personable, not so much the front desk. The bedding was very clean and comfortable. Walls seem to be very thin ans you can hear others in adjacent rooms. We were called by front desk asking us to keep the noise down, but we were only sitting on the couch watching tv. All in all we had an enjoyable stay.

I stayed at this property years ago and had given it a 5 star review. Currently the property isn't as well maintained has it was at that time. The carpet was so dirty I had to keep changing my socks. The glass shelf in the bathroom was missing. They prefer dishes are done before one leaves and no dish soap or dish towel. Room service was requested for the next day which constituted the staff knocking on the door and handing me a pile of towels. That was it! One expects certain things for the fee that is charged... which I don't feel is unreasonable. The higher the fee the higher expectation. So, comparing previous visit with this one I was surprised! But, location of the property is excellent!!

No AC. Room was hot and located right above the laundry vents and couldn't even open the windows in the morning because of the smell. Advertisement on booking shows all rooms with views but the roo. Did not have a view of the ocean. Furniture were old. Couch has stains of pet odors. Would not recommend to anyone else.

Within walking distance of the beach and shopping. Super easy to get around. Parking is a bit tricky, but that's pretty part for the course in Seaside.

location was nice, close to beach and restaurants. Check in a little confusing...not located on property building. Ocean front property does not mean ocean view from room. We paid a very high price for back parking lot view. Not what the website pictures showed.

Room was very clean and staff was very friendly. Highly recommended place to stay.

I would not recommend staying here to anyone & will never stay here again!!!

The room was perfect and clean! Love where its located. Seconds away from the beach (with no obstructing view) and seconds away from the main shopping area. Loved the nice chairs on the balcony and the shower with jacuzzi tub. Parking was alittle confusing and check in at the place across the street but everyone was curtious. Once you knew then it wasnt a big deal. Would have liked an ice machine in the main building near the room but everything was wonderful. Really no complaints.

It was close to the beach Only one staffer to check in people for two hotels at 4pm. Took over 30 minutes in line. Towels had holes in them. Bedroom window right next to fire pit outside. Way pricier than needed to be.

Location is just perfect! You can enjoy the sunset from your balcony. But the reason we came back is customer service! A bit hot in the evening. Could use some kind of AC even a portable would work.

The jetted tub is very disappointing- no strength, no pressure

We had a wonderful stay! The room is perfect, on a smaller end but is very functional. The kitchen and the fridge were super helpful to cook healthy meals. The beds were OK comfortable. The tub is really deep and nice. Overall property is really conveniently located right next to the beach.

Staff was friendly once you can reach someone. Location was walkable, although does not have path directly to/from beach and you must exit the hotel on the streetside, walk around the block to get to the beach you can see from the rooms. Room was difficult to access due to old lock/key system. I thought I had the key to the wrong room until jiggling and prying to get the lock to turn. The room itself was miserably hot, smelled dank when we arrived, spent 3 hours airing out the room with open windows and portable fan they had in the closet before we could tolerate to sleep. Still not a comfortable temperature at any point. We were woken early in the morning by the noise of anything that moved because the walls were very thin and the neighbor building began loud banging on concrete and construction noise at 8am. There were damaged finishes, rusting metals, mold and stains in multiple places. The The fridge was so warm it didn't make any beverages cold we put into it. The toilet was very very short and looked like the ones at an elementary school. We finally determined the smell was a mix of mold, sweaty feet and old cigarettes(hidden by excessive cleaning product fragrances). I would have paid to stay somewhere else but by the time we arrived most things were closed or rooms fully booked. For the management I want to be clear the room was not unclean because the maid didn't clean it. It was disgusting because you can't maintain your property. Replacing that rusty handle is $12 at HomeDepot. Grab some caulk while youre there. Shame on you.

I liked the location and the grounds of the hotel. We wanted to be on the beach and we were. This hotel is dated but clean. The front desk staff were not nice. We had three people and one had to sleep on the sofa bed. We requested more pillows and the man on the phone actually scoffed then answered "We don't do that, you have 5 pillows and that is enough" I told him that the couch bed only had one and the pillowcase had a stain on it and he said "well you will just have to use it". We stayed at 4 different hotels this trip and had to request pillows each time, because of a knee surgery, and not one of the other hotels had any problem with our 1 request. This hotel is on the beach and they will get customers based on that fact alone. It was really disappointing to be treated in such a manner and I will never return to Inn at the Prom. I did not like the man who was working on 7/27/2026 at 8PM. He would not give his name but he is very rude and was VERY insulting to me. The staff do not respond to their "Welcome" text as every hotel I have visited does. So if you need anything you can just forget about it. They have many "rules" you must agree to when signing in. I will they had "rules" they agreed to as well. Why do people that hate people go into customer service?

The location was great with it being right on the promenade/ We really like the outdoor area that faced the ocean with the chairs and nice yard. I stayed at The Inn at the Prom last week for my birthday, and unfortunately the experience fell far short of expectations. Parking is extremely limited and only suitable for compact cars. The “front desk” is actually located at the Gibson Inn and closes at 7:00 pm, which means there is no staff on site afterward. When we needed assistance, we called multiple times and left messages, but no one responded to any of them. The website states the pet fee is $20 per pet, per night, yet the check‑in receptionist charged $25 per pet, per night. When I asked about the discrepancy, I was simply told “that’s what it is,” with no explanation. Our room was uncomfortably hot, and because it was directly above the fire pit—which was on most of the day and evening—there was no way to get a draft. The fan in the room didn’t work, and neither did the television. We had hoped to use the TV to drown out noise from across the hall, where guests left their door open and allowed their dog to wander freely up and down the hallway, sniffing at our door and agitating our dogs. The door to our room didn’t seal properly and had large gaps around it, letting in light, voices, and hallway noise. With the neighboring room’s door propped open, their conversations carried straight into ours. Although the room initially appeared clean, the table was sticky, and while eating dinner, a large dusty spider web fell directly onto my plate. That was the final disappointment in a long list of issues. For the price we paid, I expected a much better experience—basic comfort, working amenities, and responsive staff. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet those expectations.

Location to the beach was great. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Room needs updating, need to add a small 3 drawer dresser, bathroom needs updating and I would remove the jacuzzi tub and replace it with a modern walk-in shower. I would remove the stove and just have the fridge, small microwave and eliminate the overhead cabinets. Make that area a bar, coffee, and area for light refreshments.

Great location, small room. We had people upstairs that were extremely loud from 4 am on and we could not sleep. Booked this place but pay attention to office hours we had to make sure there would be someone to even check us in cause it didn't tell us office hours until after we booked it.

The room was not very current. TV was in a strange location and the bathroom was strange. Needs a revamp.

We were informed that no other rooms were available and were told we would have to remain in a room with a front door that would not lock. As two women traveling alone, this created a significant safety concern. We kept most of our belongings locked in our vehicle and attempted to barricade the door with furniture while we slept because we did not feel safe. This was, without question, the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. Being expected to spend the night in a room that could not be secured was unacceptable and left us feeling vulnerable throughout our stay. I have photos and videos I will attach as allowed.
