Kallinos Boutique Hotel

Very clean. We loved it was in an area of the city that was a little “nook” of local family owned businesses. Being right across from the St. John Basilica was amazing. The provided breakfast on the terrace was incredible and felt very personal. The one part that we didn’t expect was the narrow winding staircase to our rooms, navigating it with large luggage was slightly challenging. The owner did help us, and over all this was just a minor inconvenience and wouldn’t stop us from staying here again or recommending the hotel.

Very clean, spacious rooms. Cafe downstairs and restaurant upstairs. Staff very friendly. Extremely close to Ephesus and other tourist attractions. Just be aware there is no mini fridge in the room. Water was provided but was room temp.

This is a great choice in Selcuk. Just 5 rooms but three have balconies that overlook the Basilica St John. Rooms are small but very comfortable. There is also an excellent rooftop restaurant with yummy authentic Italian pizzas and salads. It is in the best location and you can easily walk to all the sites in Selcuk and drive to Ephesus. I wish we had more time here.

Great hotel in an even better location. Clean and comfortable. It is located right across from the St. John Basilica with all the sights and the market close by within walking distance. Minibuses to Ephesus is right around the corner. nothing

The breakfast was very nice. The location was convenient and quiet. Fantastic coffee shop and great rooftop pizza restaurant on site. Everyone was very helpful and kind.

An incredible view and very nice, clean room. We didn’t spend very much time at the hotel but they were very nice with staying late for us to check in late at night and then let us leave our bags at the cafe for as long as we needed the next day after checking out. Wish we could’ve spent more time here. A little confusing with the entrance being the cafe and a bit of a struggle walking up the steep sidewalk to the hotel entrance if coming from the train station/bus stop but not horrible.

There seemed to be no consistent staff presence: I was checked in by someone I never saw again, there was no cleaning service unless I asked for items, and I did not see any staff when coming and going. Although the room itself was fine, the overall experience felt impersonal and I didn’t feel welcomed.

“This is not a traditional hotel; instead, it offers a few rooms on the first floor. On the ground floor, there’s a coffee shop with a terrace, and on the second floor, a rooftop terrace with a lovely view. Your room is essentially located between these two areas. Breakfast is fair—freshly cooked but in small portions, and there are no extras if you want more. We booked mainly for the excellent location right in front of the museum, but comfort is minimal: no TV, no additional facilities. If you’re looking for a convenient location and a large parking lot, this is a good choice. If you expect more comfort, look elsewhere.”

We loved our stay with a view across to St. John's . It was wonderful to stand on the balcony and look across at the ruins! The breakfast was delicious as was the pizza in the evening. Also, it is very easy to walk down the hill and catch the minibus (dolmus) to Ephesus. This is a great location, the hosts were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable. Nothing

Beautiful and peaceful hotel! The restaurant on top had lovely pizza and a wonderful view. This town has a lot of charm and despite its proximity to Ephesus, it did not feel touristic at all. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

Location, location, location! We did not have a car. Took the train from Denizli to Selcuk. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the train station. The minibus stop to Ephesus was 2-3 minutes from hotel. The long distance bus station was a 15-20 minute walk away. St. John's church was across the street. Lots of restaurants in the area. Quiet, except the call to prayer from the mosque across the street. Breakfast on the terrace was solid. A fried egg, French fries, fresh bread w/jam, coffee, tea, fruit, plus other sides. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. We had an early morning 4 hour bus the day we left. The owner set us up with a breakfast earlier than normal so that we could eat before traveling. Much appreciated! Our standard double room was on the small side. The lighting in the room was somewhat dim, even with reading lights near the bed. There was no mini-fridge. Lastly, the wifi connection was very weak and unreliable. Many websites wouldn't even load.

What a lovely place to stay. Only two years old, it's clear that the owners have put in such a lot of effort to make this a delightful hotel for guests. It is decorated in a modern European style, with Turkish decroative elements. The wifi is great and the room was light, spacious and cool with excellent air con and wifi. I loved the balcony overlooking the ruins, though it was a bit too hot to sit out there in August! The rooftop pizza restaurant is a perfect spot to eat as the sun goes down and the Turkish breakfast is a delicious and fun experience! It might have been just me, but I found it hard to breathe on the balcony because of fumes from the aircon unit (I think). Or possibly the traffic.

Great Turkish-style breakfast. Great view of some ruins outside the balcony. The coffee shop downstairs was an awesome little cooling-off spot! No TV, and the walls seemed kind of thin. We were asked to turn down our YouTube rain sound when we tried to use it to put us to sleep. The AC worked, but it did not cool down the room to the desired 16 degrees Celsius.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and our stay smooth. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. The location is convenient - right across the street from a historic castle, which adds a nice touch to the view. It’s also within walking distance to the center of Selçuk, making it easy to get around. The Wi-Fi connection was quite weak - definitely not suitable for video calls or anything requiring a stable connection. The room’s main door was a sliding type, and there were gaps on the sides even when closed, which made it easy to hear conversations and footsteps from outside. Unfortunately, this also affected our sleep, as we could hear snoring from the neighboring room at night. While the room itself was clean and well-maintained, we did notice a small cockroach (about 2 cm) just under the door. I’d like to believe this was a one-off incident, but it was still a bit unsettling.
